At this price point, this is an excellent speaker. First of all, it pairs beautifully from the first try. I've got higher end speakers that have been trickier, more temperamental, and not this easy. In terms of quality, the Ezvalo beats all the mid range speakers I've ever had. You will not be required to download an app to set up or control it. It's plug and play in the easiest way possible. When you turn the Ezvalo on, it sounds off a cute little chime tone, signaling that it's on, and ready to go. No guessing if it's on or off. It tells you.While it's true that it doesn't have heavy pumping bass power, sometimes you're in a setting that doesn't require that much intensity of sound. I'm enjoying this speaker in the kitchen, dining room, and home office for light music and podcasts. That doesn't mean it can't go full volume. It can. The sound remains clear when it does. It's just not a backyard barbecue party kind of speaker, there are other models for that.I rarely use the charging feature, but it works reliably well, though you should know that the speaker must be plugged in for the phone charging to work. The ring of light the speaker provides has this satisfying glow that is quite sensitive. Turns on and off with the just gentlest tap anywhere on the ring. With a rose gold finish and oatmeal colored face, this speaker is attractive. Almost pretty. It can fit in with decor in a way that other speakers might not. In addition, because of its slim profile, it can stand up or lay down and physically fit in narrow or shallow places very well.The box it's packaged in is VERY nice, so that if you are giving this as a gift, it will look and feel expensive. This speaker competes exceptionally well with the bigger brand names and I am very happy to have it.
