Wow, these are BIG
It was actually a lot of fun to use these on the dining room table, a smaller table would have been a challenge though, because it takes a fair amount of space to layout the wall. They are easy to read and not in the least prone to knocking over. The game rules that come with, however, aren't really designed for these. They reference coins for score keeping and racks for holding the tiles when no coins or racks are included. There are no scoring instructions included. Luckily finding that info online is easy enough and I could print a set or four out for my guests when we play.

Beautifully made ser
I was so pleasantly surprised at this mahjong set. The tiles are very well crafted and have weight to them. I am really happy that they were not cheaply made. I was taught to play mahjong by some neighbors about 20 years ago. It is really nice to see in American set. It's a wonderful game that requires skill and strategy. The set would make a wonderful Christmas present or a birthday gift. I'm really happy to have it and teach the game to my family now.

DIFFICULT TO PLAY
YOU CAN NOT BE A NOVICE GAMER AND JUST JUMP INTO THIS. THE TILES ARE VERY GOOD QUALITY, WOULD BE EASIER WITH THE TILE HOLDERS, BUT CAN BE PLAYED BY JUST STANDING ON A TABLE. THE HANDS ARE TOUGH TO KEEP STRAIGHT, NEED TO REFER BACK TO THE CARD. WE FOUND THE CLASSIC GAME PLAY, SIMILAR TO AMERICAN RUMMY, IS THE BEST WAY TO LEARN. STILL WORKING ON SCORING, BUT AGAIN VERY GOOD QUALITY IN THE SET.

What a genius idea to include English on the mahjong tiles so that the game can be played by so many different people. It's no longer limited to those that can read Chinese. The mahjong set is made very well and the color is pretty. The tiles are smooth and the craftsmanship is top notch. Please note that the tiles are heavy but that's a good thing! Can't wait to play mahjong this weekend!

What a beautiful set of Mahjong tiles! When the box arrived, I was surprised at the size and weight! We love games in our house and have wanted to try Mahjong for a long time. This set is just perfect!
