These things screw into sand using the bit and a drill very easily. They hold strong and I use only two per pop up 10x10 at the beach. They don’t hold sand and I just knock them against the leg of the pop up. The storage bag is great and holds the big screws.

The whole system is awesome, until this adapter shatters and the company is impossible to get in contact with to honor the lifetime warranty. If it doesn't break, 5 stars. If it does break, 0 stars and good luck getting it replaced under warranty. Pretty absurd given how expensive this is.
