LOVE THESE: SMOOTH ALUMINIUM, WELL-SHAPED
I will definitely be buying more Addi products (in fact I just have). These German-made knooks, which you can use for ordinary crochet as well, are of smooth aluminium and I find them quite pretty to look at. I love the shape of the actual hook itself, which is slim at the sides (so you don't displace more yarn than necessary when passing the head through your stitches), and has a deep enough throat-opening that it will grab your yarn securely without splitting it - so they seem very well-engineered (I see that Addi have been manufacturing since 1829). This is a most welcome addition to my ever-growing family of hooks. (A bonus to this - and any - knook is that you can always attach a cord & button/toggle to the end, and use it as an extended flexi Tunisian hook too.)
