Chef Harvey Pickle Slicer, Stainless Steel Blades; 8 Sharp Blades Cut 7 Slices

I thought this was going to be a tool to slice cucumbers in order to make pickles; however, it is not. This is a slicer for caterers to use when preparing dishes with pickles used as a garnish or decoration. I guess I missed this part when ordering the item.

Not as handy as I thought it would be

I actually didn't buy this to do garnishes. My husband likes thinly sliced midgets on his tuna sandwiches. I was concerned that this might not slice thin enough, but it is perfect. It is also sharp. I can get the slicing done for most of the pickle & then just finish up the end I held. A lot easier than trying to hold a midget & do even slices with a knife! Also, Online Stores sent this very quickly, surprising me with the speed.

It does not work well. It has a tendency to shred the pickle and the slices are too thin. It should have a storage cover for the blades to prevent you and it from being damaged.

We make a sweet pickles w/ garlic from small pickles, this pickle slicer is perfect for the job, works well !

I don't like this product because the blades are so sharp I easily cut my thumb in 3 different places because the blades are so close together.

Save your money, most worthless thing I have bought through Amazon. Blades super dull, would not cut a pickle even after I cut it down to half.

It might do a baby gherkin that's about it.

The blades are too close together making the slices so thin you can almost see through them. It's extremely difficult to slice the pickle lengthwise and it doesn't cut through all the way so you end up with a bunch of slices all stuck together at the bottom. If you cut through the pickle radially you get a bunch of slices about as thick as a dime and you have to put a dozen of them on your sandwich or you can't even taste the pickle. and, again. it's difficult to get the blades to slice all the way through. The developers of this slicer obviously did zero product testing or they would never have put such a poorly performing device on the market. I gave it one star because there was no option to give it no stars. Save your money; do not buy this product.

Works good, blades could be a bit longer to cut bigger pickles

I may not be using this pickle slicer properly! The blades appear very sharp but with sour kosher dill pickles, I cannot slice through the complete pickle.could I be doing something wrong ?
