I GOT THE POWER !!!!! (strip)
I bought this Belkin 8-Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip, because I got the power. Literally. I have so many devices and gadgets that I need to plug in and charge, and this power strip can handle them all. It has 8 outlets, a 6-foot cord, and a 2500-joule surge protection rating. It is the ultimate power accessory. With this power strip, I can use my laptop, phone, tablet, printer, scanner, speaker, lamp, and fan at the same time. I can also switch them on and off with a single button. It is so convenient and efficient. I never have to worry about power surges, spikes, or outages. This power strip protects my devices and saves me money. Of course, with great power comes a great electricity bill. But that's a small price to pay for having the power. Besides, I can always turn off the power strip when I'm not using it. That way, I can save some energy and reduce my carbon footprint. It's a win-win situation. This product is awesome. It has made my life easier, better, and more powerful. I would give it 5 stars and a high five. It is the best power strip ever. If you want to have the power, you need this product. Trust me, it's the shocking truth.

Appears to be of good quality
First off I’m giving this five stars based on the apparent quality, overall appearance, and personal experience of other Belkin products. I will update the star rating if needed at a later date. The size of this product was extremely important as I needed it to fit in a D-Link cable tidy. Belkin make no note of the size of this product that I could see on their website. Amazon do mention the size but it was obviously wrong. I went to a store that stocked a similar unit (one USB A and one USB C charging socket) and physically measured it before ordering this double USB C version. I’ve noted the size in the pictures. The unit is very slightly tapered from top to bottom. As you can see it fits quite nicely in the cable tidy.

A bit over the top
Solid surge protector. I upgraded from an old 6-gang surge protector. This one gives me all the plugs I need. The cable length is decent, better than my old surge protector. Medium value for money. It’s a lot of money. Plus, the instructions tell you to throw it away after 3 years or a power surge — whichever comes first. £30+ every three years for a surge protector is a bit much. Sadly Belkin uses the most absurd proprietary screws at the back to stop you from ever attempting to repair it. I would not recommend repairing a surge protector unless you’re a qualified electrician.

🛡️Powerful protection
Belkin have improved upon their previous power strips massively with this product. The main switch is now indented which means it doesn’t get accidentally pressed (like on their older models). The sockets are more widely spaced so your plugs are less likely to overlap and they’ve included over charge protection which turns excess energy into heat and dissipates it. I wouldn’t trust any other company to protect my electronics anymore. Belkin do such an amazing job and have such quality products that they guarantee to protect up to £60,000 of things plugged into this for two years. There’s really no competitor. Keep yourself safe, protect against electrical fires and buy one of these.

Burning smell after only 2.5 months of normal use
I have only used this surge protector for about two and a half months. It suddenly started giving off a burning smell, and the power switch became stuck and would no longer move. At the time, it was only powering a TV, a PlayStation 5, and an internet router. Fortunately, we noticed the burning smell before it became a serious safety hazard. I expected much better quality from Belkin and I am very disappointed.

Usual Belkin high quality.
The usual Belkin high quality. More expensive than other similar products, but in this case you get what you pay for.

Works well but…
This is a great extension cable and having the two USB slots is especially useful. However, I could only give this four stars because due to the shape/heft of some plugs and power adapters, not all plugs on this extension cable can be used at the same time. If one set of plus faced the opposite direction, it would eliminate the issue.

Much better quality of life improvements on the USB A model
I’ve just received these and it’s a bizarre thing to be excited about. But the prior model has been the go-to socket extension across our home. It’s now updated with two major changes that make a small, but meaningful, difference. The reduction in size is very much appreciated and overall the new form factor looks much more modern and pleasing. The most useful change has been the addition of the 30W dual USB C ports that replace the old USB A format and as most of our devices now use USB C these ports will get much more use. A big thumbs up for the refresh and I hope it will trickle down into the models with less sockets.
