This gate was insanely easy to install! I also use “wall nanny’s” to ensure there is no marks or damage to the wall from this being a pressure mount gate. It is very sturdy, very easy to use. My older children have no trouble opening this gate, toddlers would have trouble if also using as a baby gate.This successfully keeps our older cats contained… however… our youngest cat - a little less than a year old - well he’s apparently got springs and can pretty easily jump to the top of this gate and hop over. One of the main thing I dislike about this gate is the horizontal bar where the handle is - this provides a bit of a stepping stone for the little guy to hop up and over. Ideas for a re-design would be installing a vertical handle on one of the bars - indeed you don’t even need a handle just lift the gate for opening holding one of the bars.All in all… it *mostly* works for containing cats… hence the 4 stars…

One of our cats can jump over it but it blocks the others as intended. Was simple to install but we had a hard time getting the door to open easily - I think it was angled, so it took longer than expected to mess with it and get it working smoothly. Door width feels narrow. Had to take a few things over the top. I wish it was just a couple inches taller, too.

Very stable - used extra post to Lee small kittens away from big dogs.

After 3 months of use the top gate latch has now broken. I'm having a hard time finding replacement parts online for the WAOWAO latching gate mechanism. Also, the extra spacer bars that they send are indeed defective, as they are a little shorter than the gate and the screw holes don't match with the gate. They are about an inch off and you will not be able to add them to the gate as the instructions state.

Sturdy, excellent design. I love the self closing feature and the stay open if opened to 90 degrees feature. Our cats are geriatric and have not scaled it yet. I don't think they will unless we walled them off in a little room where we weren't, which we haven't.It is a little hard for arthritic hands but what isn't!Installation was fine except the extension posts had the holes drilled in the wrong place or the plastic receptacle may have been inserted upside-down at the factory. Fortunately, the gate was tight enough to not need the extra bars.Thank you for a well thought through, helpful product that lets the light and heat through but not the cats:)
