After 2 3 months of using it update, 30 mins max and loses it coldness. Did it help my workout probably not. ..... It does help for the first 5 to 7 mins, in which iI would have completed 2 sets only. Then it becomes very warm after the second set. I dont really recommend to buy, get cold buckets with ice or just old 2 ice cubs and save your money.

Okay, okay... it costs a lot... BUT it lasts forever? I am SO HAPPY that I got this can. The summer days that I've spent sweating and panting? No thanks. This can was an almost immediate relief. I had previously bought their neck coolers (which are great too) so I already trusted them. So why get the can? I just like being as comfortable as quickly and as often as possible. It's a "luxury" sure, but it beats a "new piece of jewelry" all to pieces. What's more attractive than "feeling good really quickly." That's what this can did for me.

Hello fellow body hacker. While I no longer use mine, the Culcans do what they advertise: they keep their temperature in the ideal range much longer frozen water bottles and are much more practical to take to a gym than 5 gallon buckets (a workaround I've heard people do). It should be obvious, but the more you use these in a workout the shorter their effective period will last... especially in high heat settings.. and mine were usually exhausted in 20 minutes. My gym buddies and I have done several trials of 10-20 set, single limb workouts to failure (e.g. single leg extensions) to quantify the effect of palmar cooling (even distracting the tester to keep them from knowing their rep count each round). The results are a very consistent 25-35% increase in volume for the limb that experienced the palmar cooling between sets. Pretty cool. As I mentioned at the outset, despite these results I no longer use my culcans as I've found that the workouts have to be hyper tailored to justify their use. In other words, I think baking in 2 minutes of recovery time in between each effort in the gym is less effective for overall strength and fitness than keeping active during that time with, say, non-overlapping supersets or running. If you don't mind buying at least four of these, lugging them around the gym in a lunchbox looking like "that guy" that does weird things at the gym, slowing down workouts & focusing on total volume, and cleaning & refreezing them each day, I think these can be very helpful for strength gains. They're just not as practical as I thought they'd be when I first purchased them.

I have a panic disorder and one the things that helps me snap out of a panic attack is the feeling of something cold. A bag of ice or bucket of cold water isn’t always easily available. I keep this in my freezer so it’s always ready when I need it. I find it useful to hold in your hand and place on the back of your neck. I’m impressed with the duration of the product. Seems to stay cold for 45 minutes sometimes more.
