Great light, excellent quality
I researched lights for quite a while before I finally pulled the trigger to buy. There are so many different kinds from many different sellers at many different price points. I'm going to tell you that you absolutely cannot go wrong with these lights and this seller.I have a large screened in lanai that has one little light fixture so it was terrible to sit outside and I absolutely could not entertain out there because of it. I rent so I didn't want to spend a lot of money fixing the problem in a more permanent way. These lights have fixed the problem better than I could have hoped. I was a little concerned that with only fifteen bulbs there wouldn't be enough light, but I'm happy to say that it's perfect. This string of lights wraps around three sides of the lanai and the amber light they give out is cozy, intimate, and relaxing. The cord is very thick and sturdy, and the holes above each light are perfect for hanging the lights on nails. There were a couple bulbs that weren't working when I got them and they don't send spares so I contacted Deneve and they emailed back to me almost immediately. They offered some troubleshooting tips and when they didn't fix the problem Deneve sent replacement bulbs that got to me in two days even though they said it'd be a week. I replaced the bulbs and since then I've had no problems in the six weeks that I've been using them, pretty much every night for a couple/few hours at a time.I still love them and love looking at them whether they're lit or not. They give my lanai the exact look I was shooting for and you can't beat the price for the quality.

Great, durable outdoor lights.
These have made it through a whole summer and now a whole winter outside in the mountains and are illuminated just about every night. I bought colored lights for winter from Costco and will probably switch back to the white lights they came with in the summer. 3 things I needed in addition to this light kit: a daylight timer at the plug-in so I don't have to futz with plugging/unplugging every night, an extension cord cover, and wire for hanging. I bought one of the extension cord covers off Amazon and it's held up well (Hot Headz Extension Cord Safety Seal Water Resistant Cord Cover, 8.25 x 3 x 3-Inch, Green) and has protected the connections well in the sun/rain/snow. Don't forget to get wire to hold these up, as they are pretty heavy and hanging them on wire has probably made them last longer than without. Was a little bummed when I saw Costco had these same lights for a better price, but I was OK with the price I paid on Amazon once they went on sale in the early summer.

FOR REAL
These lights are for real. Like many people, I tend to string up cheapo lights at Christmas around the house, in my classroom, and seasonally for parties if the need arises. That's all good and well for those usages. I was looking to install in a more permanent fashion, lights in my backyard for nighttime entertainment. I read review, I shopped around, I went with these Deneve lights. First thing I realized when I got them (despite already knowing through reviews) was that these bad boys are HEAVY. They need real support if you're going to be stringing them up. I utilized 16 gauge wire with black zip ties. They certainly put stress on the supports, but they were sturdy, so they hung well. Turned them on at night - wow, what a pleasant feeling.Warm mood lighting instantly... outstanding for evening/night. I have them strung up around a portion of my yard with a fire pit. Works fantastic for providing enough lighting to easily see everything without being annoying in brightness, bothersome to neighbors, or resembling the dentist office lights they use for those way back chompers. I've received praise from my guests already.Packaged very well, arrived promptly, good additional communications from company, and the price I paid was certainly very fair for the high quality product. Very positive experience.

Nice pathway lighting
This socket string is pretty well made and weatherproof. The first string I bought came with fifteen 35 watt Antique Edison bulbs. Sockets are spaced every 3 feet. This seemed like too much just to light a pathway down to the dock, so I only put in every other bulb. Besides 15 bulbs would be over 500 watts of power draw. Every other has worked out well. Too bad they don't make a string with 6' spacing. Each socket has a hanging eyelet molded in. If you want the string to be reasonably straight (not droopy) you'll need to hang the sockets from a carrier wire. Mine was about 120' long. I found some nice (free) 3/32" stainless steel cable and tied it between two trees. Hang the cable before you attach the socket string, otherwise it will be too heavy. You can use small black UV-resistant cable ties to attach the sockets to the carrier cable. I tied the whole string up from one ladder position with the ties loose, inserted the bulbs then pulled it into place. The first string looked so good, I bought another. But the bulbs they sent were completely different. I sent it back to Amazon as the wrong item. I then bought he string without bulbs and searched for the bulbs like the first string had. This may be cheaper from the get-go.One gripe is that the plug and socket pigtails (for daisy-chaining multiple sets) are too long. Since socket spacing is 3', the pigails should be 18". The way it is you have to bundle up the excess so the socket spacing doesn't look funny.Oh yeah, and my long carrier cable needed a few side ropes to trees as it went to reduce droop.Overall the effect is very nice.

Not bright at all
i bought a rope light 3 years ago on amazon. It was very bright and lasted 3 years. This looked like the same thing but when i received it the rope part is much smaller and the lights are not bright at all even after being directly in the sun for 3 days.

Not sure if worth the money
Ordered six of these. Three sets work great, the other three won't hold the settings, don't charge up, etc. They are all set up right next to each other so get the same amount of sun. I have part of a tree that isn't lit; two tress around that are lit and two that are not. The ones that work look great and are bright enough for the area but ... not happy about the other ones.
