Perfect for strimming
I bought myself a really noisy Stihl petrol strimmer recently and the first time I used it I thought I was going to need a paracetamol the size of Wales to get rid of my pounding headache. I could barely hear anything after using it for about 2 hours. I got serious tinnitus, and had to lie down with the pain in my head.So I got these. Putting them on, the world goes very muted. They cut down the bass-y noise of engines really well, but you can still hear higher-pitched sounds a little better, like people talking to you. They're still very muted, but with the strimmer running, I can almost make out what someone's shouting at me, which is far better than if I wasn't wearing them. They're comfortable and adjustable (to a degree), and they look pretty good too. If you're strimming, grass bits fly everywhere, so it's important that these have a nice glossy plastic finish, easy to wipe down after tackling a large garden.Pretty good value for money too. I've paid more for ear defenders before, and I'd give these a 4 star rating for blocking noise compared to seriously high-end ear defenders. But then, these are a fifth of the price of high-end ear defenders. If you really want to cut the noise level to zero, pop in a set of ear plugs as well as wearing these. You see builders doing this on site all the time, as it's a great way of completely nullifying pneumatic drill noise.

Used for gardening
I use ear defenders for gardening, often in combination with ear 'buds' and a radio/iPod for listening. The defenders stop the buds falling out but also reduce noise when mowing, trimming and chainsaw cutting.I have them for an additional reason, though. Here in rural Britain there too many barking dogs, left unattended and bored in gardens, and I don't want hear them either. Also, it is considered manly to have 100db petrol-driven garden tools. My wife also has a pair because, on one occasion the kitchen smoke alarm went off and she couldn't reach the smoke alarm cancellation button. No, the kitchen wasn't burning down!

Great Ear Muffs!
These Ear Muffs are Great! I have personally found the ear muffs to help defend or protect my ears from sounds that can naturally be annoying, irritating or agitating, and to lower the background noises in theatmosphere. They may be ideal if you want to lower noises, but at the same time hear your colleagues so that you can work more effectively, for example, or read a book with more quiet, being able to concentrate better. They are relatively or fairly comfortable, and are very practical for partially blocking outsounds in general.

Excellent value for money
What can I say about these that you likely don't already know. What I can tell you is I have a huge head, bigger than normal. An example is when I wear a cap, which isn't often, doesn't matter what setting it's on for head size, I have to adjust it to the largest and even then my friend comment that the hat is too small for my head. We really know what they mean, my head is massive. So, with this is mind, I needed a set of ear defenders that would fit. They absolutely do. I use a lot of power tools, the type that scream very loudly - think disc cutters, chops saws and grinders, but these beauties protect my delicate feminine ears perfectly. They won't win any prizes at a fashion show, but who cares, if you ears are safe then awesome. It's worth mentioning they also fit normal size heads as well. Also useful if you went on the lash the evening before (who remembers those days eh?) and you come home to your SO standing in the doorway with a rolling pin screaming merry hell at you. Just fit these and worry about it in the morning.

For the price paid, it is a decent ear defender
Not sure how much more can be expected for the price paid - it reduces loud sounds to a bearable level. Maybe not as much as other more expensive brands, but I am not sure I would appreciate the difference in noise level anyway.I bought these to use when working on my table saw and it is a very useful in cutting out the loud noise. I have only used it for short periods of time, so cannot comment on comfort over long periods. If you are only looking a cheap set that will reduce loud sounds to a bearable level and only need to wear it for short periods of time, this fits the purpose.

Takes the edge off the noise but not much else
I bought these ear defenders because I live in a very noisy student dorm with a neighbour who yaps on the phone for 6-12 hours a day, drunken COVID parties outside every night, and also a loud fridge/ventilation system/etc. You get the idea. I was losing my mind.PROs:These headphones are light, can be adjusted for head size (I have a rather large oval head and they fit me), and can be worn with glasses. They are cheap and delivered quickly.CONs:The fit is tight and they do strain your neck after a bit. The noise reducing capacity is not much--about the same as covering your ears with your palms. The headphones don't really muffle loud noises--they just take the edge off high volume sounds such as the vacuum, washing machine, etc. making them rather loud as opposed to dangerous for your ears. I would not recommend these for construction related tasks. These headphones are better for cutting out annoying ambient noise when studying, reading, etc. The build is also rather flimsy, but I suppose the price makes that obvious. I'd maybe wear it to the movie theatre, but not anything louder than that.TL,DR: Good to drown out irritating ambient noises in the distance. Not really helpful for loud sounds or heavy duty work. Invest in a more expensive set for more silence.

Cheap and cheerfull, But definitely reduce noise to your ears.
Cheap hearing protection, not the greatest fit on my head however I'm only using them very briefly at a time and they definitely reduce the potential damage to your ears on account I don't have a headache after using the table saw when I've worn them. If I was wearing them for long periods they would begin to become uncomfortable but if that was the case I would invest in a more expensive pair. For the money they are great, they do the job.
