Use standard plate weights with a pulley system
I've rigged up a pulley system for tricep pull-downs and similar exercises, and this pin allows me to use some of my normal plate weights safely. Much better than the bucket of sand I was using previously. It's very simple - just a steel bar the same diameter as a weight bar with a flat plate on the bottom and a clip on the top to attach to the cable. Simple and effective.This one takes full-sized weight plates - I have a 10KG on the bottom of the stack. It's long enough to take more weight than the joists it's hanging from will support!Good product, it does what it's supposed to and wasn't expensive.Highly recommended.
