I've done a prolific amount of artwork over the last 30 years.The only area I was hesitant to to experiment was with resin. After ravaging through endless articles and blogs, and yes You tube videos, I decided to purchase this product. I usually don't like to waste words, but I've have to face the fact that the product is brilliant. Whilst doing a very elaborate diorama river, I feel like I've been catapulted into the art world of resin! my findings can be summarized as follows;PRO's:1. Providing you use the injection and cups provided to the correct ratio's you get a crystal clear product. I chose to buy the full set with the inks to give a watery color/tinge to my water. I.e. mixing ratios (descending) 500ml resin to 10ml catalyst, 400ml to 8ml, 300ml to 6ml etc. This is key to getting the product to settle like rock. Always dispose of beaker and mixing spatula after use as a thorough mix with the ratio is KEY.2. Final product looks crystal clear with minimal bubbles.3. Polyester resin is about one third cheaper than the same amount of epoxy resin.4. The inks work perfectly -2-3 drops worked well for me.5. 5 litres of resin should last a very long time!! I can't emphasize how much you get out of this purchase, worth every penny in my estimation. Very pleased as first time usage of this product has6. This product works well with acrylic and Modge Podge glue to create tiny scale wave effects on the water (resin) surface (watch You Tube videos for some awsome work).CONS:1. Smell is too strong. It's best to let the product dry in open air and then store overnight in a shed or outer house. Otherwise you risk a complete evacuation of your home will ensue (leaving family members to flee!). Having said this the pong 95% clears up in a 24hr period, I found.2. Mixing ratio's are key to polyester resins.3. The product arrived super fast. Cannot fault the supplier -full marks!! :)

I cast a lump of cherry wood onto a wooden base and encapsulated it resin with a view of turning it on the lathe , the instructions are excellent , packaging is good , everything you need is ready to go , I used more of the colourant than I should have and ended up with only semi transparency - but that was my fault . Resin sets off well and demoulds cleanly - only issue , which the manufacture points out - Boy is it smelly , used outside in my workshop and even 3 days latter its a distinct waft as you open the door , absolutely don't try to use indoors . The cured resin block doesn't now seem to have much odor but any thin spillages don't seem to set off and are still tacky . will be buying again

Good product. It is easy to use as long as you concentrate while you are mixing and follow the instructions carefully. If you have problems with the curing, it is most likely due to unbalanced mixing ratio or not mixing thoroughly. It does have a very powerful smell that can't be good to breathe in, so make sure you have a cool place to store it, preferably outside. Took a few hours to set firm. Took a couple days to cure fully. Took a week for the smell to go - but once it has started to set the smell isn't as bad. The end result look very good.

Good value for money; this is the first time I have used Epoxy so did not want to spend a small fortune on something I may not get on with using. The only draw back I found was that even though the description did state that there is a strong odour which I fully expected I did not expect to smell the epoxy through the packaging of 3 layers of plastic (including bottle) and a cardboard box. I am not sure if this is normal...... however I have stored it in a appropriate place so no further issues with the smell. I have tested on a small wood carving project and so far the results are good I would suggest leaving it longer than the stated 24 hours for the products to cure.

This has been my first try at using resin. I've been watching makers on YouTube for a while so felt I was ready to try!Apart from the leaking bottle (the catalyst) this is a brilliant product. The added gloves and mixing cups are a brilliant thought! And were the perfect amount for my daughter and I to make her school project. I think most resins have a smell about them so we worked in the garden and even then it was super strong!It dried overnight and has taken each layer very well!

If you are looking for an epoxy resin and are unsure what to go for or are worried about reviews like I was, please keep reading.I had spent best part of a week researching types of resin and what was best for what and the amount people think you should order. I was confused and flipped when I saw the price tags of what people were selling them for when I came across this listing. I had pulled up this one and a few others and started reading reviews, they were a mix on every single one. People complaining the resin hadn't set or was too brittle etc or worse yet that it wasn't clear. This is not the case for this resin, they mixed it wrong in most cases and weren't listening to the instructions that this is sent with. It is perfectly clear when mixed and is setting perfectly it just requires you pay close to what is written in the instruction and a small amount of maths which is mainly written out on the guide this has with it.I have already made 4 items with this resin and I'm beyond happy with how it's turned and the price is the best I've found for such a large amount of resin even better as you get all the extras with this as well. So if you're confused about what resin to go for and the reviews are worrying you get this one, you won't be disappointed and you won't regret your choice. This is now my suppler for my resin from now on and I can't wait to order from them again.Also if you're concerned about when it'll arrive, I got mine early and via DHL which is awesome. Have fun with your crafting everyone and also make sure you have the safety gear like they say this stuff is strong in smell and if you plan on a lot of crafting with it you will need your safety gear as in a good mask and gloves.
