Traditional MATE drinker or modern this cup allows you to start this healthy activity, very easy. I’m from one of the South America countries that use this like a traditional and everyday beverage. More than 50 years in this tradition and now this excellent easy to wash and good looking cup. Straw, cleaning brush and water/mate divider it’s included. So traditional or modern style drinker, you will be covered.

Works perfectly for making mate. Wish it was more rounded on the inside and slightly bigger. The accessories are great for a beginner.

As a first time maté drinker this cup is a great way to start with. The divider helps to control the serving portion, since I don’t know exactly how many oz of lose leaf to serve, I just use the divider as a guide, fill up to the rim on one side with lose leaf, and leave the other side free to pour the water through. Drink and keep pouring hot water when empty, I like my water at 140F, I’m sure avid drinkers have perfected the recipe but for now it works for me, it’s hard to get used to the taste so I like to add a little bit of lemon 🍋 and very little honey to my warm water to refill my mate. I drink until the lose leaf looses its strong flavor and potency. So far for me it lasts a whole work shift from 9am-5pm. The stainless steel cup keeps the water warm but doesn’t retain the heat for too long but personally it doesn’t bother me since I don’t like the drink hot. The straw is really special because the tip is shaped in a flat way unlike the traditional cylinder straws here in USA and I find it very comfortable to sip with since it molds in a comfortable way on your lips. I’m not an expert drinking mate but this cup makes me look like one for sure 😆. Easy to wash, like any other stainless steel a little bit of water and soap will do the job, specially if you only use it for mate nothing sticks to it, it doesn’t hold any odd odors. no need to put it in the dishwasher because honestly that would be a waste of water and electricity.

I started drinking both Yerba and Erva mate last year. I have a 8 oz stainless steel cup, 4 oz torpedo stainless steel cup, and 12 oz aluminum cuia. The 8 oz feels too large, the 4 oz feels too small, this cup is the perfect Goldilocks size of 6 oz. The 12 oz cuia was for the erva, but I never had luck making erva mate without the bombilla clogging. The first time I try it with this cup, it works flawlessly. The biggest factor is the metal divider that comes with the cup, it’s just such a time saver and convenience factor. This is the only cup I feel like I’m going to use from now on, if you are looking for a great cup for mate, this will literally be the only one you need.

Really impressed with this Yerba Mate set. The cup feels sturdy and well-made, and the stainless steel bombilla works perfectly. It also comes with a cleaning brush and shaping tools, which make it super convenient. Army green looks great, and it’s easy to clean after use. Exactly what I was looking for.
