These string lights are not going to be anything revolutionary but for the price I wouldn't expect them to. We purchased these to add a little extra magic to a girls slumber party and they survived the night being endlessly tinkered with by a bunch of fascinated little girls.The biggest benefits are that it runs off a battery pack so it can be quickly deployed anywhere and doesn't drain too quickly (made it about 4 hrs on relatively cycled rechargeable ones). Neither the lights nor the battery pack got concerningly hot and the wires, while delicate won't snap if you muck with them.The one thing to note is that the pompoms are held on by separate little wires - like floral wire or twist ties. Its not visable but if a little one gets ahold of the string they can get the pompoms off. If unaware it can be a downside, but the pompoms are easy to re-attach and as a hidden benefit it also means they can be removed and re-colored (think neon or glow in the dark spray-paint) for a quick refresh/upcycle.

These are lovely lights with pom/poms and stars, I did think they were a little pricey. I kept this item in my wish list for a while but since I still thought they were so cute I bought them even at $20,and I am happy with them. Very unique.
