Second album by KK. absolutely awesome. KK got me into wanting to play shaped guitars. when i saw him with JP on top of the pops. i had to know more about the group, and Gibson flying Vs. This, like his first album is really tight. Awesome band

Heavy metal 'by numbers' in places, but there are some great songs!!!!
A very famous rock journalist gave the latest offering from KK's Priest four out of ten stars with the quote that went something on the lines of '....not a replacement for the real thing'; so I did approach "The Sinner Rides Again" with some trepidation that KK's Priest had suffered from the dreaded 'second album syndrome'. I needn't have worried as there are some great songs on "The Sinner Rides Again".I must admit that the quality of the songs seem to be on a 'sliding scale' of quality across the album, but as you would expect the guitar playing is sublime with a powerful production. The opening 3 songs on the album are excellent, "Sons Of The Sentinel" is a derivative of "Ram It Down with a killer chorus"; "Strike Of The Viper" is a brutal assault on the ears and "Reap The Whirlwind" is reminiscent of "Freewheel Burning" but, as stated, all are great songs. The style of the title track and "Hymn 66" actually remind me of Iron Maiden and "Jugulator" era Priest, so there is variety throughout the album. "Keeper Of The Graves" is a real 'grower', just awesome .with Ripper Owens letting loose his vocal prowess proving that he's not just a Rob Halford clone, however, there is a big 'but' coming along though.........BUT after 7 songs that vary from good to excellent we sadly have two 'fillers' at the end of the album. Don't get me wrong, once again the playing is sublime, but (there's that word again...) "Pledge Your Souls" lyrically and melodically is cringeworthy, whilst "Wash Away Your Sins" sounds like a rejected outtake from Judas Priest's underrated "Nostradamus" opus....It's not a great way to end what is a very good album overall, but there's plenty here to cleanse the palate of most Judas Priest/ Iron Maiden fans et al....

Metal on Metal
A great improvement on the previous album, probably down to Metal legend Jacob Hansen's mixing and mastering which has really given it a real bite.Vocals, drums, bass, guitars all sound loud/heavy.You could argue that at 40 minutes/9 songs that it's rather short on run time but some albums these days have far too many songs, the result being that an album can meander and all the songs end up sounding the same, not something this album suffers from.At this moment in time,I honestly can't fault it......Raise Your Fists.

Kks priest
Christ,I wasn't expecting this to be this good, every track is a pounding hammer of pure heavy metal, brilliantly played and first class production, and what a performance by tim ripper pwens,I recently heard Judas priests new single panic attack, but every track on this album wipes the floor with priests panic attack, this is the real priest for me, what an album.
