Superb product. API is one of my resources for many of my aquarium essentials. Never had any problem with any of there items. Great value for money, with many products giving you size options for what you need. All products from medicated to water parameters and plant care. These products are made with an ease of understanding for what that purpose is and will help you on your fish keeping journey.

Friendly bacteria in a bottle. I used it to help mature my new filter with the current one and it's ideal for setting up a new aquarium. I choose to use it with water changes alongside other API products. This is a decent product and I recommend it to anyone that keeps fish.

Working well. My go to when starting a new tank.

I brought this to do a fishless cycle. I didnt want to add fish as I didnt want them to die due to the tank not being cycled. After nearly a week I didnt notice any change to the water and my readings didnt change. The bottle does say that you CAN add fish immediately BUT it doesnt say add the fish because you need their amonia for the quick start to actually work! The bottle doesnt include any amonia at all. So I brought some liquid amonia and another quick start and tried again. After waiting and testing for weeks for the cycle to start it just didnt. It completely stalled. After a large water change it seemed to fix the issue and now my cycle has finished and I have my first 2 fish. This very long and costly wait would all of been solved if they had simply said you need to add a source of amonia for the quick start to work. I wouldnt buy this again. Next time I'll add liquid amonia and let nature take its course.

I was aware of the amount because I did read the description but it was still a little disappointing, haha. That’s just me. Good product though.
