South Shore Holland 6-Drawer Double Dresser, Natural Walnut

I have to say for the poor reviews out there, sorry, but I'm perfectly fine with my purchase. For the price, this is a great dresser. Sure, putting it together was a little cumbersome (as is most furniture), but all of the drawers fit PERFECTLY if you put it together correctly. Material is not the best, but for the price, it is what I expected. I like the no-handle look too. Drawers slide in and out smoothly. No chips on the material. Dresser sits perfectly fine on hardwood, no rocking back and forth.

Absolutely dissatisfied with this product. The first one I ordered had prices broken. Literally in half. I called customer service and they have a replacement shipped out and another company picked up the old one. When I got the new one, the same pieces were chipped however nothing was broke so I assembled it. Had I known I would have had this much trouble I probably would have done a different dresser. The brand south shore seems to be very cheap pieces once you receive them and I understand I didn’t pay high dollar but for over 200 bucks I would expect pieces that aren’t already scratched and chipped or broken at the least.Aside from the terrible quality, assembling this thing is a beast. I’m aware that two people would probably be best but I don’t have the option of having help so for a one woman time, the process takes forever which again I understand the price is not high dollar but it’s a little much for the piece after receiving it.After all the negative, I do like the overall look. I was wanting black wood for my sons room and he loves it. He’s only 2 so the chips don’t bother him.***update: I have seiner returned this dresser due to the drawers being chipped excessively, the bottom does not stay together, and the drawers do not line up correctly. And yes I have rearranged them and put them in different places. Do not waste your money.

I purchased this with my expectations set appropriately for the price and type of item, and it seems to fit the bill quite well. I had space constraints to work in and this dresser fit perfectly where it needed to go, and none of the local furniture stores had one that would fit in these dimensions without looking like it was made for kids.It arrived quickly and in perfect condition, no damage to the box or anything inside.I was worried from the reviews about the drawers being unfinished wood so I had a roll of contact paper ready to line the drawers with. Turns out the bottom, rear, and sides were all factory coated, unlike photos from older reviews. The inside of the drawer fronts is still unfinished but that was easy to cover with some contact paper. They must have read reviews here or listened to other customer feedback about the insides of the drawers at least.Dresser appears to be sturdy for being made of MDF. Instructions said the top had a 75lb limit and I had no trouble putting at least 50lb of stuff on top including a laser printer. That said, it is still MDF and I wouldn't push my luck with it.It was fairly easy to put together in a few hours by myself, though an extra pair of hands would be helpful in certain steps. The instructions caution not to use power tools but if you have a power drill with a clutch/torque limit just set it low and it's fine. I set my DeWalt drill to 2-3 and then hand tightened things from there. Saves my back and a lot of time. Some of the cam locks are in an awkward place for getting good leverage with a screwdriver but I used a ratcheting T-handle and had zero issues with doing that.The only significant negative is the drawer sides and back are a bit undersized compared to the front. They could easily be a couple inches taller to make sure things don't fall out the back.There were some minor issues with the instructions and assembly but nothing I couldn't figure out. For example, the drawer rails for both sides of the center divider both screw into the same holes so if you tighten one side too much the other cannot be tightened enough and ends up very loose, so you have to find a good balance in the middle. Quirky but not a huge problem. The hardware for the main body of the dresser was nicely separated into bags of similar parts but the hardware for the drawers was all mixed together in a single bag.Overall, at least so far, I have zero regrets and would buy it again without hesitation.

The quality is great, it’s a lot to assemble but it’s not hard to do.

Received this in slightly damaged box, but the item is listed as 113 lbs, and the box is medium-light weight cardboard. One part was smashed and two had crush damage. I'd requested a replacement, but while re-packing, I felt the replacement would almost certainly be similarly smashed. I tried to cancel, but it was too late. Sure enough, when the replacement arrived, it also had some damage to the box, and after beginning to unbox I found two pieces damaged. It's so difficult to jigsaw puzzle the parts back into the box, I only took about a third of the parts out, before giving up. I first thought I might glue the one busted piece, but after discovering the big entire top cracked, I stopped and re-packed. I don't know how many other parts were damaged. It should have been DOUBLE boxed, and using heavier gauge cardboard. For veneered particle board furniture, it looked like it would have been OK, so I don't know how many "stars" to give it. Too bad.

The media could not be loaded.  La melamina es de la más baja calidad, viene rayada y golpeada.Los cajones no embonan como deben, vienen todos más grandes de lado izquierdo por lo cual al cerrar los cajones no ampatan como deberían, no devuelvo xq me da más pereza desarmar, emplayar y devolver que mandar a cortar los cajones. No lo recomiendo 👎🏻

Had the product shipped across Canada to northern alberta. Box was pretty beat up. But perfect condition. Easy to assemble, took one hour alone. If you can put together a basic Lego set you can build this.

The dresser came with no back. It is not sturdy and a piece broke off during assembly

The was one part that made no sense to assemble, had to drill and use my own screws to get the piece on…top counter arrived with a dent but not too bad, just bad luck on the shipping. It does look very nice though, drawers and stable and align nicely. Value for money…would have felt better if it was on sale. Took a chance based on reviews, seems mainly user error in those

I like it very much, assembly wasn't too bad but I got help :)I like the color and very satisfied with the quality.
