A decent enough kit for someone trying to decide whether crochet is right for them. I bought it because I was about to start a beginners' crochet class, and had no trouble using the hooks for all the beginner stitches using yarn like those included, so it's fine for a beginner. A lot of the "notions" (accessories) are redundant, but the stitch keepers are locking ones which is useful, and the yarn needles are good enough - metal would have been better than plastic, but that would be a more up-market kit. The limitation I hit is that the handles are not very securely attached to the hooks. They're secure enough for the swatches we were doing in class, which were the sort of thing that would apply to garments and so on, but my first real project was amigurumi with cotton yarn, which is tight stitching with a much less stretchy yarn, and the handle kept pulling off (a sharper point on the hook might have helped with those tight stitches too, though I think there's an element of personal taste in that because a sharper hook is more likely to split the yarn). So I've bought a set of better quality hooks for that, based on reviews on crochet-specific sites. But credit to this kit for getting me to the point where a) I knew that crochet was something I wanted to take further, and b) helping me understand what to look for in better hooks. Bad equipment could have put me off completely. These didn't. I'll continue to use these as a spare set, especially on projects that aren't worked with tight stitches. I'm nowhere near the skill level to use the lacemaking hooks yet. They won't have the issue of handles pulling off, because they don't have handles, but I can't comment on the hook shape.

I wanted to learn how to crochet. I am using You Tube. Some videos are fantastic, some are not. This pack has absolutely everything I seem to need from needles to stitch markers. I didn't know what they were when I was looking through the pack. Loads of bits and pieces. Great value for money. So many different size needles. Some bits I haven't a clue what they are for yet but I will get around to them I am sure. Highly recommend any newbie like me to purchase this great pack. Makes it easy to zip up and store little bits of work.

This is great has everything you need.

Very nice product to get you started off with crochet. Has everything in the package you would need. The only negative thing for me was the yarn quality. It kept splitting into two often. But its good enough to start practising crochet.
