I have been germinating acorns and needed tall, sturdy treepots to allow the taproot to grow before transplating these oaks into the ground. These treepots have provided the ideal length and sturdiness for the acorns. The trays that the treepots fit in is made of an exceptionally sturdy plastic and easy to carry with all the treepots filled with soil and wet. As others have said, the drainage diameter is approximately 1.5 inches (38 mm.) and allows for excellent drainage. Sure, the price may be high compared to other treepots but as others have said these can be used for years upon years. They're an investment, not just a purchase.

I thought the price was high, but seeing them, I realize why. These can be used for years. The "drainage hole" is huge and will effectively air prune any roots. You need to pack the potting soil firmly when filling to prevent it all from just falling out the bottom.

There are exactly what I wanted for starting my protea cuttings. Fingers crossed!

These are great pots for up-potting seedlings. I grow trees starting with seed and up-pot thru several stages. I prefer to air prune plants with long tap roots to around 7-10 inches to encourage more vigorous feeder roots. These work great and the tray makes it much easier to maintain..

Everything is good except the trays received were red... trays in pictures are black... not a big deal
