The product worked well…
The product arrived on time and undamaged.I've used this cable with both my Quansheng K6-UV5 (8) and Baofeng UV5 without problems. Please make sure that you have the end that plugs into your handheld radio is secured TIGHTLY into the side of it! I thought I did the first use, but found that once I pressed harder it made an audible “CLICK!” before it worked. The quality seems ok. (The Retevis brand I used the first time didn't work correctly and was returned)Thank you.

All Baofeng programming cables are NOT created equal!
I've been using Baofeng UV5R radios for a while and already had a programming cable that works fine for them. I just recently got a Quansheng UVK5 which supposedly uses the same programming cables. My old cable didn't work at all. There are a lot of reports online of people having to shave the cable to get it to fit, and even then they sometimes have to hold the cable in extremely tightly to get it to work. I shaved my cable and tried and tried to get it to work, but the farthest I could get flashing firmware was 17% which soft bricked my radio. I took a chance and ordered this cable and within minutes of unpacking the cable my radio was back in business. If you need to flash firmwares to your UVK5, this is the one! No modifications to the cable are needed, and no need to squeeze the cable in to get a connection.

Works great with Quansheng UV-k6
This works great with my Quansheng UV-K6. Used CHIRP software on a Windows 11 Pro laptop. As others have mentioned, you really need to push it into the connector until you get a click. It is a firm/solid fit.

Works with my cheap Quansheng radio
It connects my cheap hackable Chinese radio to my PC. So many firmwares, so little time, most fun you can have for the money.

You really need this
This is what you need to update radio frequencies and update the radio. I suggest the program CHIRP for an easy way to update frequencies into the radio.
