Broken... Twice *With Update*
Ordered one. Shipping box and packaging box had no damage. Open it up and the hydrometer was broken. Initiated a return for another, that came the same way. Shipping and packaging looked good, hydrometer broken.STAY AWAY!!**UPDATE**Company reached out to me. Offered to send me another at no additional cost. The new hydrometer showed up and it was perfectly packed and unbroken. It didn't come with testing cylinder, not a big deal as I have a few laying around.4 stars since it took 2 months and 2 returns to get a usable product.~I have not used the hydrometer yet~

Bought this because I want to make anhydrous ethanol to clean circuit boards (distilling only gets to about 95.6%). Hopes of immediate start were dashed when I opened the box. The kit was well packaged with no outward signs of poor handling and most items were intact, except the most important part. The scale was in a tube slid into the cylinder, so okay. As I removed it I heard rattling as it moved. Sure enough, the bottom of the scale was broken and the ballast was at the bottom of the tube. I'm not going to ask for a refund or return...too much trouble. I'm going to source a replacement scale locally. At least I can check it before I pay for it. I gave 3 stars because the cylinder is still good and I have no good way to assign blame for the damage. Just my two penn'orth. Cheers!

Good product, would prefer a plastic beaker over glass, first one broken upon arrival had to do a return.

Didn’t work as described
Although the unit worked to show the content of Everclear it did not work on any other lower proof alcohol including straight vodka much less the homemade drinks we bought it for. Very disappointing

Great item packed horribly
Item works great. I was surprised that it arrived intact. Non-padded envelope. Box it was in was destroyed. Delivered to the wrong address. Thankfully I have honest neighbors.

Arrived shattered
Unusable. Was complacent and missed the return window unfortunately. Item likely too fragile to ship. Will have to find locally.
