5 stars, obviously. This year, I decided to take the high road in our annual passive-aggressive Christmas decorating contest with the neighbors. Traditional white lights? Please, I’m not trying to recreate a boring snow globe. Enter the colored floodlights: a bold, brilliant statement of superiority.The neighbors’ tasteful little wreaths and twinkling lights barely even registered compared to the multicolored floodlight symphony I now have bathing my house. My home practically screams, “Look at me, I’m here, and I’m better.”Installation was a breeze—just plug it in and bask in the glory of turning your front yard into what I can only describe as a disco ball on steroids. No need for taste, no need for elegance—just pure, unadulterated in-your-face festivity.The best part? The neighbors, bless their hearts, haven’t stopped complimenting me on my “bold” approach. I can see the envy in their eyes. Who knew holiday spirit could be so… aggressive?Highly recommend if you want to win without having to actually try—because nothing says “holiday cheer” like a neighborhood-wide color war.

I recently installed the Govee Outdoor Lights, and they have truly transformed my backyard into a magical space. The lights are incredibly bright and vibrant, with a wide range of colors and effects that can be easily controlled through the app. The customization options are fantastic, allowing me to set the perfect ambiance for any occasion.The installation process was straightforward, and the lights are built to withstand various weather conditions, which is a huge plus. The app is user-friendly, and I love being able to schedule the lights to turn on and off automatically. The integration with voice assistants adds an extra layer of convenience.Overall, the Govee Outdoor Lights have exceeded my expectations. They are durable, versatile, and provide a stunning visual impact. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to enhance their outdoor space. Five stars!

I don't know how Govee can consider these to be outdoor lights when the power supply and controller are not weatherproof. You must enclose both the power supply and controller in a weatherproof box or the unit will fail in a very short time. If you read through the reviews you will see others coming up with creative contraptions (tupperware, ammo boxes, etc.) to protect the power supply and controller. These lights have the exact same controller as Govee's indoor lights, with a button on it. It's absolutely ridiculous.Also, these lights are not truly "low voltage" lights, because they require you to plug the power supply into 110/220V. Typically, when you are shopping for landscape lighting "low voltage" means the light can be connected to your existing 12V landscape light wiring. These lights cannot be connected to your existing low voltage landscape lighting wiring.I feel that these discrepancies are on the verge of false advertisement. I was super disappointed when I discovered this, so I returned them all without even plugging them in.

The media could not be loaded. Bought the 4-pack from Lowe’s and this 2-pack from Amazon. After the first very mild rain the first week, there was water/condensation on the inside of the light. I have seen this issue complained about on Reddit and in other places. Some have mentioned success with gorilla glue around the rim of the diffuser but I have not tried this. The 4-pack which was out several weeks longer in multiple rain storms did NOT have this problem so I’m hoping it’s just a quality control issue and doesn’t actually speak to the longevity (or lack thereof) of the lights. Customer service was exceptional which I was not expecting. If these prove to be somewhat durable in the extreme southern heat and rains, I will probably be transitioning from Philips Hue (they are so expensive).The colors look fantastic and the lights are quite bright. They really highlight my garden. Setting them up is easy.Suggestions / Requests:1. The fast, dynamic animations are great for holidays and events, but on a day to day basis, it would be nice to have options for a more gentle, less dramatic and flashy animation set to choose from. I would love to have a color scene that doesn’t look like I’m throwing a rave in the middle of a quiet neighborhood road at 11pm.2. Please don’t have to light setting / animation change simply by tapping on another tab. For example, if the lights are on a static setting (“color” tab), then I tap the scenes tab to view all the scenes, it automatically switches it to the last scene. But sometimes I’d love to browse them before the lights start going full on party mode due to my last option. The app functions well but it definitely would benefit from some streamlining and better/alternative organization.I am excited to try the curtain lights in the future.
