Another generic but competently executed powered USB 3.0 hub
I previously wrote an extensive review of the 7-port USB 3.0 hub by the same seller. From what I can tell, this is an upgraded version of that product with more ports, a sturdier rubberized plastic exterior, and an included power adapter so you don’t have to source your own.Unlike the 7-port hub, this one doesn’t pull apart easily for inspection of the internals, and I didn’t feel like risking damage to get in there for board shots. Nevertheless, I’m happy to see that all of the essential features of the 7-port hub are carried over to this 10-port hub. The most important one from a usability standpoint is that the individual switches beside each port are of the physical “push-on push-off” or “latching” type, so the hub will never forget which ports should be on. Admittedly, it’s now more difficult to tell at a glance whether a port is supposed to be on or off, as the indicator LEDs have a much narrower viewing angle and the switches don’t stick out nearly as much when off compared to the 7-port hub, but it’s still feasible. On the technical side, it appears that this hub and the 7-port hub are based on the same model of USB hub controller chip. 5Gbps performance and day-to-day operation have been as unremarkable and boring as I hoped over the month or so it’s been in use, which is good news as far as I’m concerned. In more good news, the included power adapter is ETL certified for safety (equivalent to UL certified, but costs the manufacturer less in certification fees), and there’s a short but informative user manual in the box.My only concern is that at some point decades in the future, the rubberization on the plastic will inevitably degrade into a sticky, greasy mess. Otherwise, this generic 10-port USB 3 hub seems to be as competently executed as the generic 7-port USB 3 hub it’s replacing on my desk. If you don’t need something with a beefier case and/or power supply, I think it’s a great option, and it’s built well enough that it’s probably better than most generic competitors with similar specifications.Technical notes:- USB identifiers! For the USB 3 portion, VID, PID, and manufacturer/product strings are 0x05e3, 0x0626, “GenesysLogic”, and “USB3.1 Hub” (sic) respectively. For the virtual USB 2 portion, these are 0x05e3, 0x0610, “GenesysLogic”, and “USB2.1 Hub” (sic). All of these are identical to what’s claimed by the 7-port hub.- While I can’t be sure about the exact chip model without board shots, the USB identifiers point to three Genesys Logic GL3510 hub controllers being used, each providing four 5Gbps ports. In a nutshell, this 10-port hub is implemented internally as three 4-port hubs. The first hub handles the 3 physical ports closest to the cable. The second hub is permanently plugged into the last port on the first (which isn’t exposed to the outside) and handles the 3 ports in the middle. The third hub is permanently plugged into the last port on the second and handles the remaining 4 ports farthest from the cable.- Notice the multiple nested levels of hubs daisy-chained to hubs. If this ends up being a problem for some devices in some situations, the obvious fix is to plug affected devices into a different port closer to the cable.- Genesys Logic seems to have been producing more or less the same 4-port USB 3 controller for more than a decade under various model numbers. If the GL3510’s hard-to-track-down datasheet can be believed, it’s merely the latest iteration in the series, having been released in 2018. (Confusingly, its immediate predecessor appears to be the still-available and higher-numbered GL3523.) So the controller, at least, is probably mature and reliable. Nintendo also used the GL3510 in its official dock for the Switch, which is a vote of confidence of sorts.- Technically, intermediary devices with removable cables like this hub aren’t supposed to have a USB-A port on the computer-facing side. This restriction is and will continue to be widely ignored.- The GL3510 should be capable of 5V fast charging (BC 1.2 or Apple Fast Charging at 5V/2.1 or 2.4A). Using USB test equipment, a momentarily borrowed iPhone 14 Pro Max, and an ancient USB to Lightning cable I had lying around, I measured 5V/1.5A being drawn from a port. I didn’t care to investigate further, but the point is that this is convincingly more than the respective 500mA/900mA maximums of baseline USB 2/USB 3.

Exactly what I needed!
I am using as a power controller for a hobby project of mine which required individual switch controls. This device is working perfect and providing the power I need to light my model city.

Great 10 Slot USB Strip!
I'm really happy with the Onfinio Powered USB Hub. It's a great way to add more USB ports to my computer. The hub is powered, so I don't have to worry about my devices drawing too much power. It also has individual on/off switches for each port, which is really helpful for devices that I don't use all the time. The hub is also very easy to use. Just plug it into your computer and start connecting your devices.I've been using the hub for a few weeks now, and I haven't had any problems with it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reliable and affordable USB hub."My Pros of the Hub:Powered hub for added stability and compatibility with power-hungry devicesIndividual on/off switches for each port for easy power managementEasy to use, just plug and playAffordableMy Cons of the Hub:The hub is a bit bulkyThe power adapter is a bit largeAll in all, the Onfinio Powered USB Hub is a great option for anyone who needs to add more USB ports to their computer!

Good quality USB Hub
Been using this for quite some time now and it's worked well for me. Sometimes for just the usual USB stick or if you have lots of peripherals that run off of USB. I only have two USB ports on my computer so this definitely helps.

Streamlined way to charge 10 devices at once
The hub is narrow enough to put on a ledge behind my desk. Each port can be turned on/off individually, so it reduces the amount of electricity being used. Fast charging even with lots of devices plugged in at once. Each port has USB 3.0 data transfer capability. Our entire team can plug in their phones and devices, and we still have open ports. Highly useful for meetings and conferences.

Very nice and well laid out usb hub, perfect with computer or standalone power supply!
I love this thing. This is great for either a USB hub for a computer or as a standalone USB power charging station. I ordered to use it as a power station for all of my usb charged devices. Before this, I had at least three different outlets in my room being used to power or charge different items. I was tired of keeping track of all of the charging cables (a vast majority of them were product specific so a lot to track). I now have everything set up on one dresser and enough USB outlets for everything. The great thing about this unit, each item has an individual switch. So I can keep my charging cables plugged into the hub and just flip or push the power switch. There is an indicator light to show if the USB port is on or off. And while this has so many ports, it is still compact and does not take up too much space. I will probably get another for my office and to use as both a charging station and USB hub for my workstation.- great compact unit- 10 USB ports- individual on/off switches with indicator light- great for a power charging station or USB hub for the computer- great value, very decent quality- comes with power supply
