The solid blades are great! Very durable! The snap offs are good as well-when the blade tip becomes dull you just snap off the full part but if your not careful with how much pressure your using when your cutting they snap when and where you don’t want them to. I use both but mostly these solid blades because they’re more reliable

I reviewed the Olfa 5003 L-1 18mm Ratchet-Lock Heavy-Duty Utility Knife and mentioned this solid blade, but just realized I never reviewed the blade here. The knife with this blade is perfect for working on my RV. It is long, thin, and flexible, which is exactly what is needed to slide under a fixture (door, water heater, lamp, etc) to break the usual silicone/butyl seal. I was able to slide the blade over an inch deep when removing my rear door (the factory really spread a lot of silicone for that seal). Then, using some vinyl lockout wedges, I was able to pry the edges around the door frame up without ever scratching my fiberglass gelcoat. Highly recommended if you do work on your own RV (or boat)!

These solid blades turn the Olfa 18mm (3/4") blade width snap blade utility knife into a heavier duty cutter without the risk of having a blade snap at at one of the intended break points under heavier duty use and possible side forces exerted in use. These are still thin blades though so they are flexible and do not make the knife suitable for true high force cutting use. They do though extend the versatility of the utility cutter somewhat.

Its perfect for cutting loose broken window panes that need to be removed and replaced.

The best blades on market. Did not expect anything else from olfa.

Was hoping since the blade was solid it would be thicker and stiffer.

Love these solid blades! I use them with my 3D printer to remove prints and they are perfect! Great quality, sharp and long lasting!
