Stylish gooseneck barn light but misses a few amenities
This is one of five gooseneck barn lights we ordered to update the outside of our house. I enjoy the vintage style of gooseneck porch lights and this one is very stylish. Everything was easy to assemble. All I had to do was screw the shade onto the gooseneck pole and it was ready to be installed onto the side of our house. I really like the black finish, but I would have preferred a lighter paint on the underside of the shade. The fact that this is painted black top and bottom means I'll have to use a much brighter bulb to illuminate the entryway. I also wish it came with a light or motion sensor. I've found those features included with other brands for the same price. Initially I wanted to install this light at our front door, but with the dark paint underside of the shade and lack of light/motion sensor I'll probably install it on the back patio door. I feel like I need to buy some white spray paint to paint the underside and get the light I was hoping for. It's a great light just missing a few things for the price.

Looks Great!
I have to say that aesthetically this light looks very nice by my back door. It is a nice size and puts out a decent amount of light. I wish that the underside wasn’t open, as it seems to have become a home for the bugs and creepy crawlies. The gooseneck look is very classic and adds to the vintage/farmhouse aesthetic. Overall, this is a great light that I think really adds to the look of our house and improves the curb appeal.
