Don’t be concerned with the ph neutral factor because this is the worst contact cement ever produced. I am an experienced woodworker and this stuff does not adhere at all. DON’T BUY!!!

Q: Would this be good for putting leatherette on my orthotics.

No, I firmly believe this product to be defective. I returned mine and bought the "red can" version, i.e., the old-school "flammable" product. We know it works, as it has been around for years. If you live in one of the states where the "red can" is not sold, I suggest you look for a different product.

Q: Will this work for carpet to aluminum boat deck?

Can't say for certain but my experience with this contact cement would say no. I couldn't get this stuff to bond to anything in any sort of permanent way. DAP Weldwood in the red can is great stuff and I would say it would bond carpet to aluminum with no problem (I bonded rubber to the steel running boards of my 32 Ford and it has held up for some 12 years now). Don't waste your money on the green can. Get the red stuff.

Q: Can this be used on car headliners ?

I purchased this product due to the fact that I had to do a laminate countertop indoors. After carefully following all of the instructions it did not work well at all. I ended up using the original Weldwood contact cement which works better than anything else I've ever used. When it comes to headliners I've always used a spray on adhesive that is for high temperatures.
