Bought this for his compost heap and it works very well. would highly recommend this brand if anyone is looking for a turner for compost heap. Bought it based on the other reviews and the price was good.

Easy to put together - just the T handle to fix together with a couple of provided nuts and bolts. It's easy to use if you are quite strong - the forks do grab hold of quite a lot of material which needs to be pulled through the compost to the top before it will let go. I made the mistake of putting a lot of twiggy branches in the bottom of my compost heap (as recommended in a book) and the aerator grabs them and they have to be pulled right through to remove them - don't make the same mistake when starting your heap! It works fine in my large plastic compost bin too, though the handle only just fits in. It not only aerates the compost but really mixes the old and new together, along with the worms and bugs that actually turn the waste into garden compost. I wish I'd bough it a few years ago!

Easy to put together and a clever design. It goes to the bottom of the compost bit lifts the bottom area up and replaces the vegetation on top. I got it clogged up a few times but thats no hardship.

Brought this to turn the compost heap, received it all good, but then realised that there was nothing to allow me to assemble the product. I tried to communicate with the manufacturer (as advised by Amazon) but they didn't offer any help, it could have saved plenty of CO2 emissions just sending out a pack of bolts, rather than returning one and shipping another. Hence the low score. Amazon kindly sent out a replacement, and on comparing the two items side by side there was clearly never any bolts attached to the original (they were stapled in a pack to the replacements cover, but no holes were present to show staples ever being used on the original item) Otherwise it's fine and does the job, just poor communication/product checking/customer service from the manufacturers.

I paid nearly £30 for something that does not work. You push it down and twist to open blades ,the blades do not open in dense compost so useless for breaking it up. I have tried fully tightening the blade through nut and bolt and forcing it down and twisting, with poor results, ,the blades soon fold up .If it worked I would not complain about price, but it does not do the job. It is also a foot to short for compost bins.

Both arms don't always fold out when lifting the device. But makes for much less effort in turning a bin of compost. I hope to get a bin full on the garden before the really hot weather .

Tested it out as soon as it arrived. Pleased to see that it slides easily into compost, twist and lift to open the wings and draw back up. Didn't get stuck in the compost, or get jammed. Was able to sink tool right into the bottom of the compost, handles a bit less wide than the neck of my compost bin. Excellent so far.

What a waste of money. The wings do not open making the whole thing useless.

I only have a smallish compost bin, 100 ltrs or so and this device helps me to aerate it well. It could be sturdier but at this price point it's good value. Don't get me wrong though, it is sturdy enough to get the job done.

es muy simple, pero muy efectivo, se clava muy bien sin hacer mucha fuerza, y se tira para arriba moviendo todo el compo, para que se mezcle bien, y fuerte, no creo que se rompa facilmente, muy buen producto como e dicho. un 10

Es de muy fácil manejo. No se necesita hacer mucha fuerza para revolver (como cuando utilizaba una pala )Lo vi utilizar en un taller de compost y por eso lo compré. Estoy satisfechaCuando tenga la compistadora llena, podré comprobar mejor su funcionabilidad

Seppur dalle compatte dimensioni, ritengo sia un utensile valido per il rimescolo del compost in qualsiasi tipo di compostiera. Spero che il metallo di cui è composto duri nel tempo!
