It is generally beneficial to apply a base and top coat to help your nail finish last longer, although it can also lead to early failure if you don’t get your layers right.My nails were not prepped and I couldn’t do a base or top coat, so I was pleased to find that a thin coat of colour (streaky as expected), topped by a second, produced a good even finish on my nails. Not very glossy without that top coat however. I find it is always good to avoid over doing your first coat and allowing it to dry, even if you miss a bit of nail or it is streaky, is better than adding more. I always apply a line down the middle of my nail, one more either side and then leave it to dry. I can pick up missed bits on the second layer and I never do a third as it increases the risk of snagging.This applied nicely and each coat dried before I was tempted to check if it had dried, so a nice, snag free finish and no finger prints to let it down either. The colour dried fairly true to how it looked in the bottle as well, but it needs a top coat to get a good shine.

The polish goes on smoothly and covers well, especially after two coats. The color is nice and neutral. It has just a bit of sparkle.

This OPI color is beautiful and stays on ! I find that the metallic polisher I have longer staying power with this 3 step gel polish system.

My mother is a big fan of the white / oyster colors with the shine. Reminds her of revlons Frostiest Pink for the 70’s

Can use a clear top coat for stability. Easy to remove unlike some glitter polishes. I used 2 coats on the included photos, both taken in daylight, with and without flash. Dries pretty fast! Looks a little splotchy with only one coat.
