Does the job.
I bought it to keep my mattress from sliding off the end of my bed as I got sick of pushing it back on every morning. It works really well for this purpose so far and is also a sturdy bar for helping me stand up. It’s a nice small size, smaller than the other rails I was looking at as I didn’t really need it for the intended purpose.
