Crazy but it’s true.
I have several of these reels. Been using them for a few years now. I fish a few days a week when I can. They’ve held up great, coming in contact with sharp rocks and salt water. I will say I did remove the levelwind from the 50s but that’s because I prefer a hand lay on larger reels. I also have 20s and 30s. Which are stock, apart from bearing and drag upgrades(which they all got). It’s a weird line of . The 50 and 60 only come right hand and the 20 and 30 only come left. About bearings, the outer side doesn’t have one, it’s a bushing. It worked pretty good with it but I wanted to improve on it if possible. Biggest things I’ve fought on them are sharks, 6 ft was the most. I’ve noticed people don’t understand why the level is connected to a plastic gear. Get your finger stuck between the guide and housing sometime, you’ll be glad it’s not metal, and you wish it was as easy to break as people think. Cause it’s not. I have no interest in other reels. That’s saying something. That I’m crazy? But then if it was trash I wouldn’t use it at all. When was the last time you met someone who fishes that doesn’t look for excuses to get new gear? I used to worry about being able to replace them. That stopped when I saw how well they were holding up.

Bad materials.
Would not buy. The reel seems fairly solid, but they use a plastic gear that operats the levelwind as you crank the reel. This gear will definitely break leaving the reel unusable. Look for a different levelwind.
