Last Will & Testament Kit

I needed to update my will and had one of these packs some years ago from a high street retailer and it cost me more money. It's easy to follow and has everything you need for a simple will. The forms are for the whole UK which is helpful as Scottish inheritance law differs from English law in some instances. You can also download extra forms if you want to leave instructions as to the type of funeral you want etc. easy to do at home or the local library. For me it's perfect but if you have a complicated estate perhaps speak to a solicitor first.

Definitely worth purchasing, as another reviewer said, if your affairs are simple. Took me around half an hour to read through and sort out (we are not rich, so my affairs are very simple!!). The language is in plain English and easy to follow. There are separate forms and advice for England and Scotland. Circumstances where you should seek a solicitors advice are explained, none of which applied to me. As I share a house with someone who is not my spouse a will is essential to me, but it would have been many months before I found the time to go to a solicitor. Highly recommend this.

Makes the will process very cheap and easy if - and I suspect its a big if - your affairs are pretty simple. The online form is a hassle and doesn't work well. I ended up copying the boiler-plate text onto a blank page, so I could do the edits easily. Anyone who's been an executor knows that the hassle isn't the will, its finding all the assets, accounts, passwords etc. It would benefit from a much more detailed and up-todate addendum page for guiding executors on where to find everything, passwords for online accounts etc. The current notes appear to have been drafted pre digital-age.

Used this as I didn't want to go to solicitor, most have steps into their business' and as I am disabled find this difficult, also they are much more expensive. I had everything I needed in this kit. There is a practice layout, and a will form in the kit. I chose to go online and do the original online, it was easy to save and go back to later to complete. There are other forms in there as well including a Form of Letter to an Executor, Funeral Wishes, Location of Important Documents and Summary of Personal Information, Important People to Notify and Property Inventory. All these forms can be completed online, I used the forms in the Will Pack for practice. I found the whole thing very easy and would certainly recommend to everyone.

We ordered 2 kits thinking each one comes with a single form, but no. You only need one kit per couple, if you fill out the forms correctly from the first try. The kit comes with: 1. 2 x will for when you leave your estate to your children. 2. 2 wills for when you leave it to your spouse, who would then leave to the children. 3. 2 for when you make a gift of it to any other entity. 4. Various other forms: funeral wishes, property inventory, list of people to notify of death, list with the location of valuables, letter to confirm that the executor agrees to handle the transfer of assets. 5. A guidebook with examples and worksheets. Use those for your drafts. 6. A leaflet with online instructions to store and edit a version online. Once I do that, I'll post an update. We're very happy with it thus far. Looking forward to putting pen to paper, once some final details are sorted.

It is well written in good legal style and provides helpful advice on how to complete your will. It is a good, inexpensive way of making a really simple will BUT if you want anything even slightly more complicated you would be very unwise to do it yourself. There are too many things that can go wrong and in these circumstances even the kit advises you to use a proper lawyer.

This is a great comprehensive will kit, available at a really great price. Highly recommend

This is a really useful product. It is complicated although it does explain everything very clearly in easily understandable language. It is also explained what you need to do at a very competitive price. With these sort of things it is just a bit complicated and you want to get it right but given the complexity involved it is a good pack. You can copy wording and you just need to find witnesses. I gave 4 as excellent but I just felt like I might end up checking with a legal advisor but if you are a bit more confident you would not need to do that.

I don't like that they fail to mention is will kit for England, Wales And Northern Ireland. I live in U.S.A. makes no sense why is with other will kit products but does t say anywhere in description NOT for U.S.A.!
