CLASSY (and capacious) COMMUTER BAG!
AMAZING commuter bag! LOVE LOVE LOVE: - STRAPS: The straps are comfy and adjust nicely - - the pockets and storage options are AMAZING. I love the top zipper pocket for easy access to my badges for work and my earbud case. sometimes ditch my phone in there as well. - STORAGE CAPACITY: can't say enough about the thoughtfulness of the design on this bag. - the laptop pocket is lined with the softest fabric, nice and cushioned and always feel good dropping my laptop in there. - the interior pockets are perfectly sized, and i love that the mouth has a drawstring allowing me to really pack the bag full with an extra jacket or equipment, but condense it down when i'm traveling light. - i use the side zipper for quick access all the time to keep the top securely clipped down protecting my gear! - recently used the bag for a 2 night work trip and the 40L size was PERFECT for a few outfits rolled up and my toiletries for an easy carry-on option - WATER RESISTANT - it's done really well in Seattle rain when i'm commuting via ferry/shuttle/bus or walking downtown. - QUALITY/DURABILITY - so far it's been my daily driver for 6 months of lots of commuting and working from various locations, and it holds up great to whatever i put it through, STILL LOOKS LIKE NEW, and wipes down easily if i happen to lean it up against something dusty or dirty! - LOOK: it's a perfectly balanced classy black bag with a touch of character with the brown straps down the front and back. - VALUE: I am a bargain shopper, and this bag felt a bit out of my price range - but i was so glad I went for it.

Has all I need including style!
After my daily backpack wore out I was trying different bags to see which would fit my needs and purchased like 4 other bags but not were as functional or stylish as this one. I've used it for about 3 weeks at this point and I keep coming back to this one and have decided it will be my main bag. The look: I got the black with the brown straps and this is a very handsome bag. Even when its full, it's kinda bulky but maintains a well distributed shape so it doesn't look like all your crap is in a big bunch at the bottom. I've already gotten compliments on it where even a random dude would pass by and say "nice bag, man". The function / features: I like to think of the main compartment as "a bucket" where you can just dump all your stuff in. I have many small items that I place in the main compartment and can access easily with the side zipper. But majority of the time I keep the flap open to access all my stuff. TomToc was very thoughtful with placing a handle on the inside so you can still move it around with the flap open. There is a laptop sleeve on the inside with very soft lining that protects your laptop and a smaller sleeve in front of it for your ipad, etc. The zippered pocket holds all my small electronic stuff including a bulky ergonomic wireless mouse without sticking out and looking unsightly. The tiny magnetic front pocket is handy for a pocketsized notebook and a pen but can get filled very quickly with anything more. The zippered flap compartment is very deep and can hold smaller, flat items. There's 2 water bottle sleeves on the outside and even one on the inside of the main compartment to keep a clean profile. One thing that I didn't realize would make me love this bag more is that it can stand on its own. This makes it very convenient when I need to grab something. Also, plenty of padding which makes it VERY comfortable. I like to cafe study and this bag is pretty much perfect for that and at a VERY good price compared to other backpacks without these features. Highly recommend this bag. Especially if you can get it on sale!

One of the best backpacks I've owned
I initially bought a $30 bag on Amazon for traveling which was basically worthless after a couple of uses (interior pocket blew out, the light colored fabric got scuffed and dirty almost immediately and it had no real structure). For just about twice the price this is 10x the bag that one was. This is really a well built and thought-out smaller size backpack for work or travel. It fits nicely under the seat in front of you when flying. The fabric used feels high quality and although I haven't yet tested it in a downpour I am confident it will keep my electronics safe. Stitching is precise and looks nice. I like the elastic style closure chosen for the top opening; it allows you to secure your items even if the bag is slightly overpacked. There are two padded sleeves in the interior and the main sleeve has a nice soft felt type lining to protect your laptop. Also, the sleeve pockets end before the bottom of the bag which provides additional suspension for expensive electronics. There is one other small interior pocket with no closure, I personally would have liked at least one more zippered interior pocket. This bag really shines in the small details: YKK zippers used throughout. Exterior pick-up handle has a very robust feel to it. There is an additional pick-up handle on the inside of the bag so you can easily move the bag around with the top open. Exterior side pockets have small elastic tabs to allow for expansion and keeping your bottles or umbrella secure. Small front pocket has magnetic closure which is a nice tech touch. There is a side slash pocket which allows access to interior from the side which has a snap clip zipper lock to prevent accidental opening. The back straps have molle style loops for securing things and keepers so the ends of the straps are not flapping in the breeze. The coup de grâce is that because of its somewhat rigid structure the bag can stand on its own which is really useful from a daily use standpoint. All in all, for the cost I think this is an excellent backpack with well thought out features and a nice minimalist design made from recycled materials to boot. The only thing I would change would be to add an additional small zippered pocket in the interior for misc things like a power brick, charging cables, etc. Highly recommended. Ownership update: After owning this backpack for about 4 months I have only one caveat. It is not fully waterproof in a strong rain. While it does have a nice DWR coating to shed light rain, a strong rainstorm will saturate the fabric quickly. Also, the position of the small magnetic pocket on the front guides water into it. After I went through a rainstorm I forgot that I had some business cards in that pocket for several weeks. Needless to say the wet cards got incredibly moldy and that pocket was quite soiled from the resultant funk. If you anticipate using this pack in the rain I would definitely have a water proof cover handy. Other than that detail its one of the best backpacks I’ve ever worn.

This is the everyday bag I have been looking for!
After ordering a cheaper bag (wish I would have seen its YouTube review first) for $30 on here, I did some more research. I was looking for durability, great padding, a fair price, and something that looked good too. I think I found it. I teach high school computer tech so a laptop is often on the move with me and I just purchased my first iPad Pro a week ago and wanted something to keep it and the keyboard safe while transporting it. I have only had it one day and I love it. The straps are really comfortable, there are loops on them to secure all kinds of other things if you were going on the trail. I am not certain this would hold up to heavy duty hiking, but I could see it being useful on a smaller trip. The side bottle pockets hold my Yeti 18 oz bottle well, I don’t think it would take a much bigger bottle. I had my 32 oz big bottle inside the main opening and it made it so much easier to carry this morning. I have had my father-in-law’s old Air Force helmet bag for years and it has no shoulder strap. I can say without hesitation that I would recommend this for anyone looking for a classic style bag that can carry laptops, tablets, and all the gear that goes with that with no problems. I forgot to mention the side zipper which gives access to the main compartment without having to open the top or undo the clips, you just wouldn’t be able to get your tablet or laptop out this way. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I just received it, so hopefully I can give an update after I have had it a few months.

perfect backpack for school and carrying around your tech
Has one huge compartment. Inside the compartment are two sleeves that are patted and soft for your ipad and computer. Was able to fit my 16-inch MacBook Pro just fine even though it's advertised for 15.6 inches was also able to fit an 11-inch ipad in its own separate compartment on its side. There are three other pockets on the outside of the backpack two of which are zip-ups and one is magnetic. The magnet is very strong and will not open up by itself. Each pocket had 6-6.5 inches of depth to it. The backpack has two water holders one on each side. There is a huge sipper on the side for easy access to the inside. You will not be able to take out your computer threw this zipper you will need to use the top. It is made out of great very durable high quality material and has protected my tech inside it from heavy rain. The padding on the pack makes it very easy to carry around without back pain and it sticks onto your back very well there is no imbalance weight pulling the backpack down weirdly like other backpacks I have used. Overall it's a very great backpack worth the money. Very eye pleasing as well with its minimalistic design to.

It’s seldom I write reviews, but this bag definitely deserves one. It’s functional, spacious, stylish and comfortable. I didn’t have it long enough to speak on durability ,but the quality of the material is good

Great bag with smart storage. Flap design has won me over
Design: The flap design took some getting used to, but it's actually better than a traditional zip-up bag—it lets you overstuff and fit extras without fighting a zipper. Build Quality: Excellent. I regularly stuff this bag to the brim, and all the straps and handles still feel sturdy with no signs of wear. Storage: Plenty of pockets. The main compartment has a soft-lined laptop sleeve plus an attached pocket for bottles, umbrella, snacks, or small accessories. The front has both a zip pocket and a magnetic pocket—great for medication or quick-access items. The flap itself has a zip pocket I use for my keycard and wallet. Overall: Very happy with this purchase and expect to use it for years.

Good quality bag for daily use.
Very good bag for daily office commute or running errands. High quality. Fewer sections mean less practical for overnight trips. On the pricier side.
