Excellent follow up
Good to know the main character's nickname is Rea. Loved the tale's progression and closure about the hub. Looking forward to the next segment of this series. As always, a joy to read. Makes my exercycling zoom by so ple asantly.

Not quite for me but as always, solid writing
I love this author and generally think she does a great job in all her work. I didn’t love this book. I felt it got derailed a bit by describing the structures and techniques for building and the history. There was some action and humor, but it got lost in the mix. I found that eventually I just stopped caring about the problem they were trying to solve. That’s just my perspective. I’m sure some readers loved it. I did enjoy some of the friendships and family building. Also I enjoyed the attempt at personal growth for the main character. She seemed to mature and develop confidence. However, I wondered why throughout the entire ups and downs with her parents she didn’t actually try to tell them how she felt. I’m not sure if it would have made a difference, but suffering in silence and then deciding she just didn’t care without an attempt at communicating her feelings and asking questions seemed strange. All that being said, I would try again with the next book in the series if there is one. The writing and world building were solid as usual and could provide an excellent foundation for any story.

I hate this author
For making me stay up so late, to read just one more chapter, no, really, I promise this is the last one, then straight to bed, wait, what do you mean, it’s three o’clock in the morning?Seriously, this book was just that engrossing. I hope our beloved author chooses to revisit the Imagineer universe at least once more. I’m dying to know how our protagonist is going to top the events of these two books. Please, please, please, I’m begging you, one more book.In case I haven’t made it clear, I LOVED this series! Buy it, read it, enjoy it!

Enjoyable, if a bit "young adult" type of story.
Enjoyable, if a bit "young adult" type of story. Not quite a Mary Sue character, but it is it is certainly one of those stories where the main character magically seems to almost instantly be good at a rare, mysterious new skill, and is immediately transported to a new life in which everything does seem to fall into place a bit easily. It's an interesting world though and enjoyable to see the central character discover and appreciate it.

I can't believe i hadn't already reviewed this. I loved this book and the first one. I re-read them when I'm blue. I loved how she grows the pacing and am the cool things she does. I realize this duology can stand as is, but I'd love another in this series or just in this world. I'd love to be an imagineer.

Even better that Imagineer
Honor has produced another intoxicating tale that sucks you in until you cannot leave the story. I was planning to read for an hour, and could not stop until i was done. The story is rich and consistent. There are no holes or gaps. A great story and a great read.

Imagination can work wonders!
I was so excited to read this book. I loved the first one and had been eagerly awaiting the sequel. It definitely lived up to and exceeded expectations! The story continues from where the 1st left off and its a great journey across the world with new faces along the way. There's so much going on in this book, so many questions answered and new people met, yet its done in a way that's well balanced and not overwhelming. The details and research that has gone into the various myths, magic and characters is as always incredible and like all Honor's books when you read it you are immersed in the story and environment. Rea's character grows so much its amazing, she accepts and learns a lot and her relationships with everyone continue to develop with her bond with Klaus being my favourite. I really hope there are more stories planned for this series as I'd love to see Rea at her new school and what trouble she can get into there!!Definitely read the first book, 100% read the second!!

Enjoyable sequel.
I continue to enjoy Reagan's story, it is an original spin on a magical coming of age, whilst deep enough to engage someone who is definitely not a YA! It is not so well edited as the first book, with some typos and the dreaded incomplete sentence syndrome here and there. However, the geography of Canada seems confused. Devon Island is in Baffin Bay, but the author keeps referencing Alaska, as if she is confusing Price of Wales Isand off the South coast of Alaska with the one in Nunavut which she really means.
