gave 4 stars because the constant flashing light on the unit is annoying especially at night.

It has three modes and the first two are very quiet. Bugs vanish after using it. Good product!! Cheap and effective!!

These are the worst bug repellers I've ever bought, not worth the money I paid for them, they need taken off the shelf!!

The media could not be loaded.  I've actually used the good ones before of these, they have a siren which is really loud, if you can hear it, imagine how rodents like rats or mice feel, it would drive them away crazy. This one is silent on every single mode, so who's to say they work?It is supposed to get stronger per colour Green, blue, then last red, like light medium and hard. This has pretty colours though, and is silent on each mode for me. I couldn't hear either frequency, but the good ones will have an option to hear something even with human ears, and it would be quite loud on the highest setting. This one makes me think it's doing nothing, but have no proof to say it's not working so hence my 3 stars undecided review.I did once see a mouse run away in the garden, when I had an older mouse repellent device outside the house, but that was a loud frequency that I could hear. This black product device with colours on it, is supposed to do everything flys, insects and rodents, probably a good idea no to use any of the other colours with pets in the area, green only apparently is the safe mode. Have not noticed anything with insects or flys, but to be fair it is supposed to take 8 weeks.You would only want blue and red for more infected houses, and it doesn't do a massive house just using one, it might do a small room to medium size, but would need multiple versions of this around the house, then it says if you leave it plugged in it will reduce the lifespan. I've had these kinds of devices for more than 10 years still working. This black one uses 4-6 watts, I would think the stronger you go ie/ Red mode would use 6 watts.Partly my review is also regarding the size of the product, in another room upstairs it didn't fit in the socket as is too close to the on and off switch, if only it was made thinner or sticking out more.

well made .not easy to see if they actually work or not . but they do fit the socket
