This is a beautiful piece of wood, cut with intention to be a useful tool for preparing spaghetti pasta and other very long noodles. The wood is rich in color and grain, and so looks great when standing in a container near the stove top. I find the handle to be comfortable, allowing for a steady grip when lifting pasta noodles from the water. The sharp cut edges of the "fingers" aid in gripping the noodles, so they don't slip away back into the water. I've now used it for nearly two years, and my photos are taken today, so you can see that the beautiful look of the wood has lasted many pots of boiling water, and many soapy scrubs in the kitchen sink. I would advise against ever putting wood utensils in the dishwasher. This is very easy to clean by hand.

this is so much better than the plastic one we had before - the design fits nicely in a utencil caddy, and the single piece of wood construction makes it seems studry. Time of course will tell.

It works well for the job of cooking and serving pasta. Good size, pretty color, easy to hold, good price. Must be hand washed, not for the dishwasher. Because of its shape, I recommend washing immediately after use because dried pasta is difficult to remove.

The spoon seems to be good quality and looks nice, but it did take a month or 2 to arrive. If you've never had one, it is kind of tedious to clean, but a great noodle tool.

This worked out really well. We are currently replacing all our black plastic utensils with wooden ones and this is great.

This is a pretty solid pasta spoon! You WILL have to wash between the teeth before using because there are black deposits left behind from the milling- but you should be washing everything before you use it, anyway! I saw where some said that the teeth broke off of their spoon. The only way I see that happening is if you leave the spoon in liquid for a long period of time - which you shouldn't be doing in the first place, for obvious reasons. It's a perfect length for grabbing pasta and I like that it's also slotted in the middle. Happy with the purchase.

Broke during first use when I tapped the edge of the pot. Two (2!) teeth broke off into the pasta water. Poor design with very sharp edges on the teeth and the spaces between the teeth haven’t been sanded so the pasta sticks to the rough surface after the sharp edges have shredded your pasta. Next thing you’ll spend forever trying to clean off the stuck bits of pasta between the teeth. Returned.

Love this! So handsome and far nicer to serve with than my prior plastic scoop. Heavy durable and picks up pasta very well.
