3 Minutes of Your Time for Peace of Mind
The media could not be loaded. I feel like I've just about tried it all when it comes to keeping muddy pawprints off of my new, light colored floors: dog booties, dog cleaning wipes, and now the Mudbuster. There just aren't any dog booties out there right now that will stay on my dogs' paws. I have two 70-pound mixed breeds-- a boy and a girl. The booties don't come up high enough, and no matter how tightly I wrap the velcro strap around their paws (can't be too tight either or it'll be uncomfortable and impractical for them), the booties flip off and go flying the second the dogs begin to run around in the yard. I would end up having to go outside to find the lost booties and have to clean my dogs' paws anyway. I even looked at dog booties that are attached to a suspender-like harness, but I didn't want to get that desperate yet. My dogs didn't really like walking in the booties anyway. Most of the time they just stood there and stared at me like they weren't sure what to do now.The dog cleaning wipes were my next choice. I tried two different brands. They were just ok. I had to use multiple wipes per dog, and it wasn't that great at getting the mud off. It would also flick lots of pieces of mud and dirt off their paws onto my floor.Which finally led me to the Mudbuster. Although it's a bit messy to use because of the water, this takes 1st Prize easily over the other two aforementioned options I tried. The Mudbuster is like a giant deep cup that holds lots of water, you stick your dog's paw in there, rub it against the soft silicone-like bristles, and it does an excellent job at cleaning them off. You'll just need a towel with you to dry off the paw after you dunk it in the water. I uploaded a video of myself and my boy this morning demonstrating the Mudbuster. It's about 3 minutes long, but that's all it takes. Compared to vacuuming and mopping and scrubbing dirt and mud off the floors and carpets, it's worth it.I bought 2 Mudbusters, one for each dog. I fill each up with warm water after I let them outside and grab a couple towels. My dogs have quickly adapted to getting their paws cleaned after coming inside on rainy days and don't seem to mind them at all. They seem to prefer that anyway to me picking at and scrubbing their pads.Since I've used this product so many times, I've gone through the process of cleaning them and it's not bad at all. All I did was pull a little on a tab on the inside of the cup near the top, and it let me take the silicone part out in one piece to where it was just the cup left. Washed each piece off with warm water and carefully placed the bristled part back inside, and voila. This product gets 5 stars from me because, for me, it's the best thing that's worked so far at keeping my floors clean. It takes a little bit of work and some towels, but it's totally worth it. Also, my dogs do so well with this product, it's hard not to appreciate that too!

Filthy Mutts Come Clean with the Mud Buster!
Large width makes gripping tightly with small lady hands quite a challenge. We’ve tried various techniques and positions: gently pumping up and down… quick downward thrusts… side to side with circular motions. Sometimes fast and vigorous works best while standing. Whatever it takes to get the job done!Offering licks of peanut butter helps to distract when we’re getting down to business, especially when there’s a lot of filth involved. Sometimes it just takes a little extra time, depending on how dirty things get! We always have extra towels ready for cleanup. We’ve had plenty of unintended spills and messes. Somebody gets too excited to stand still until we’re done with the task at hand, and accidents can happen.Silicone bristles are flexible and rubbery, not hard or stiff to the touch. I start with a little squirt of soap and add warm water when cleaning it after use.A hard plastic handle or some kind of attachment - anything that would make it easier to hold on to - that missing feature would be a very useful addition to the design. There is a textured, bumpy pattern for gripping, so that should make holding the device (without slipping) easier -But that’s a feature for people with bigger hands.*We own the Large Mud Buster, used ONLY for cleaning our DOG’S PAWS. Overall, we are pleased with the performance of this device. It’s a durable, thick plastic outer cup, with soft rubbery silicone “bristles” inside. We have a 70 pound Silver Lab. It cleans paws easily and effectively, and as long as you rinse it well after use, it won’t get gross. You can soak it and/ or run it through the dishwasher as needed. Highly recommend for cleaning those muddy doggy paws!

Wow! Works Surprisingly Well!!!
Pros: Does exactly what it’s supposed to, quickly and efficiently. Easy to clean!Cons: Too fat for my hand so I found it very hard to hold, but I also have child-sized hands so this will likely not be everyone’s experience. My husband had no issues. A little handle to slip your hand through and rest on the back of your hand as you grip the bottle with be an excellent improvement for me. I may try to hot glue something on to it and see if it lasts.Advice: Follow their suggestions on which size to purchase for your breed of dog. I went against their suggestion and bought the Medium because it seemed so big, but after using it I realize the Large would have been even better, and that’s what they suggested for a Husky.Lengthy Review:I got a Husky Weimaraner mix puppy in April and he’s about 9 months and 65 pounds now. When we got him in the spring (wet and muddy time of year) we were potty training and only taking him out on the leash, so I don’t remember having any major issues with muddy paws. I had no idea what we were in store for with our first winter with an active puppy! We got a couple early snows and hard rains that turned the yard to mud, with no summer sun to dry it out. The other night the dog came in and my husband was holding each paw for me while I dunked it in a Miller Lite pitcher of warm water and soap. His massive paws, plus my hand, plus a washcloth, plus the wide open design of a plastic beer pitcher, was just a recipe for disaster! We had mud water everywhere, and it took forever to clean him up. Immediately after drying him off I headed to Amazon to purchase this. I had seen it before so I knew it existed but never thought about it again until that fateful night. Fast forward maybe two days later and we have another hard rain and another muddy paw fiasco, but this time I had the trusty MudBuster (because obviously Amazon got that thing delivered lighting fast, thank goodness)! I hadn’t even read the directions yet but just filled it up with warm water and a tiny drop of dish soap (soap isn’t necessary but are a shoe free house and we baby wipe his paws every time he comes in the door, even on dry days, so soap was necessary for my peace of mind in the cleanliness department) and went to town on his paws. I quickly realized it was way too full and made a little bit of a mess there, but otherwise, this thing is GENIUS. As far as I’m concerned, every dog parent needs this. I purchased the Medium size even though their information said to purchase the Large for a Husky, and when I received it I thought that was the right call because it seemed so big, but after spilling some water out I realized the Large probably would have been better. So, I would trust their suggestions on sizes based on breed. I’ll just add a little less water and be fine with this Medium size, but if anything ever happened to it and I needed to purchase another one, I’d go for the Large.Super happy with this purchase!
