Scotch Desktop Tape Dispenser, Metallic Black, 1 in Core, 1 Dispenser (C17-MB-0)

I use scotch for all my tape needs. Their dispensers are great and so is their tape!

Scotch sometimes describes these side panels as metallic black … but I say they are much better described as "gloss-piano-plastic" black. The top panel is a rubberized matte black. The bottom panel is almost entirely covered by black matte rubber scuff pads/feet (to help keep it in place when you tug the tape).THESE SIDE PANELS TAKE MICRO-SWIRLS/SCUFFS/SCRATCHES AND FINGERPRINT SMUDGES WAY WAY WAY TOO EASILY. (Mine fell out of the retail box during Amazon shipping and it had already picked up a few scuffs and dings.) I cleaned off the fingerprint smudges with a quality microfiber cloth (that I use on my eyeglasses) and this gizmo STILL took on micro-scratches from it. That's my one-star subtraction.It might have been better of Scotch to design the side panels to also be coated with rubberized matte black material … or of some other type of more-durable, less-scratch-able, black material.Still, even with the swirls/scratches, this dispenser with its edgy, sharp-angled, 1950s-Googie-space-age design (that Scotch calls 'facet-design') has a significantly more modern & attractive appearance on the desktop … than the classic curvy, rounded design of Scotch dispenser that is usually sold & seen.Just to confirm, there was NOT a roll of tape included. The photograph of the box shows labeling that states it is NOT included. The verbiage listed under "Product Description" that says a roll is included is INCORRECT.The "core" spindle/spinner (that you place inside your roll of tape) IS included.Btw, I checked the Scotch website and I don't see this model of dispenser listed in the current line-up. So it's probably discontinued. My retail box was dated ©2016. So if you think you would like it, better grab one now.

Super stylish and sturdy! From a brand you can trust!

This tape dispenser is a bit nicer to look at than the standard kind. It is weighted and I can pull and cut about 2" of tape before the dispenser begins to move. I'm using the Scotch brand tape and it usually doesn't give a completely straight tear, but since the tape is transparent, it doesn't really matter.

Works great had no problem with one hand use base is heavy and stable. Use it at work.

1. It does not look like a new product. Or the way that this product is stored needs to be redone. when I had initially bought this item and it came in horrible condition. It looked like it had gone through a lot of abuse, was leaking sand, and stuffed in a ripped up box for it to be shipped out.Thankfully, amazon was able to send me another one and the second one was in much better condition. The box was still a little beat up but the item itself was in decent shape.2. As for its functionality, it works just as well as any other tape dispenser. There is a good weight that only requires one hand, it does its job.3. No it does not come with a roll of tape but it does say that on the box so that was expected and I bought the tape seperately4. You kind of have to take a gamble with this product. The quality does not seem consistent with each purchase based on my personal experience and from reading the other reviews. Amazon does pretty well with replacing items that are not up to quality but it is just something to keep in mind.

Just what you need and great price. Should last forever.

Actually loved the sleek-ness and how it matches everything in my office space. Would give more stars if I could!

Cumple con su función, el tamaño y su resistencia es buena. Sólo por aclarar, el vendedor describe que viene CON cinta y varios compradores comentan que no vino con ella. A lo que debería corregir el vendedor en la descripción del producto es que efectivamente no viene con cinta. En la caja del dispensador claramente dice "Cinta no incluida".Me llegó completo el producto pero un poco maltratado, desconozco a que se deba pero no es algo que interfiera para ocuparlo o devolver.

El anuncio indica que trae una cinta incluida, pero es publicidad engañosa. Solo trae el dispensador.

Muy bueno pero venía rayado

Recibí el dispensandor sin la cinta. En laDescripción menciona que incluye un cinta.
