Good quality, great product. The FDD work very well and it was recognized by my Windows 11 Laptop.

Works great!
This drive is great for reading your old 3.5 inch floppy disks quickly and easily. Just remember to use a USB port that is attached to your motherboard (likely on the back of your PC), not from a USB dock (also likely not on the front of your computer). This is because the drive has no electrical connection, power must be supplied by the USB port.

It works
I tried a different brand before this one and it did not work at all. This one works but I have to disconnect and reconnect the device every time I change out the diskette. Troubleshooting procedures provided did not work. At least I can see what's on my diskettes now.

Easy setup, works as it should!
Easy setup, works as it should! Drive showed up immediately. It is noisy but every floppy drive is. Great value for the quality.

Wasted money
Installed the drive on Windows 10, it would just read for a second, then stop and repeat continuously. Tried on another PC with an older version of Windows and it would not recognize the drive. Finally, after some time I got it to read a disc, but then it took a very long time to open a 34kb file. After inserting another floppy, it started with the read for a sec, then stop routine. Maybe it was dropped during shipment, but I'm not going to gamble with another one.

Use the oldest computer possible and read directions! Don’t reformat disk!
This came w a touching letter written by Michael. He says he grew up in the 80s and 90s surrounded by floppy discs and VHS. He understands the sentimentality of wanting to preserve documents. I thought I had lost my mother‘s manuscript forever the computer that it was on Would not start but out fell a floppy disk and I was hopeful that I would be able to retrieve it from that disc. The problem was that I had no other computer that had a floppy disk drive, so I ordered this and opened the Files without a problem. Try to use the oldest computer possible . I kept 2 old Dell computers. It opened without a problem and I found the long lost manuscript.

Floppy Disks are Retired in the Past…Until You Need One
I would have never thought that I would ever need a floppy disk again…then I did. It was delivered quickly, plug-n-play (easy hookup), and worked as expected. Great value to keep around, just in case. I recommend this drive.
