didn't know what I was missing
The Spice Way's authentic za'atar blend with real hyssop, sumac, and sesame elevates Middle Eastern dishes, sprinkling perfectly on flatbreads, yogurt dips, or roasted veggies for tangy, herby brightness that's farm-fresh and miles above oregano fakes. Hand-packed in small batches from 30-year farms, it stays potent without fillers, mixing into olive oil for instant manakish or seasoning chicken for meal prep—pairs brilliantly with your tahini squeezes. Nutty, citrusy profile shines in salads or eggs, with resealable pouch keeping it aromatic for months; Lebanese family-approved authenticity at everyday prices.

Better Choice
This is my first time purchasing zaatar. I’m not affiliated with either of these companies and I purchased them both with my own money at full price. The Spice Way zaatar is the one on the left in the bowl. Tyme Foods is on the right on the plate. Spice Way is darker and more vibrant in color which makes me believe it’s more fresh. It also tastes more vibrant and fresh. The texture seems to be keeping the sesame seeds distributed throughout, versus the other on the plate that seems more dry and the sesame seeds easily separate from the herbs. I’ll definitely continue purchasing The Spice Way zaatar.

Real zaatar, absolutely delicious
Second time purchasing. So aromatic and flavorful, using the actual traditional variety of hyssop. I use this more than any other blend: great on grilled meats, roasted veggies, or in dips.

Whole new taste adventure. Very good!!
Wow, this is a really delicious spice blend. It wasn't overpowering, but there is some serious flavor in there. Not too salty. This is a totally new product to me. I'd never heard of it before but was listening to a podcast about true hyssop vs some lesser products being passed off as hyssop. Such a little goes a long way, so I feel it a good value for the money spent.

May I have more please....
First meal, Lamb Gyro & yes it was delicious yet I could have used more seasoning. Second, I mixed it with Dukes mayo, slathered delicious rolls & toasted then made fish sandwiches! What would have made it perfect would have been thinly sliced & peeled granny Smith apples. Third meal, mixed herbs & EVOO, slathered chicken thighs with mixture and apricot preserves served with basmati rice. Next try I'll step it up on the fish sandwich.... I'm in love with how great I feel after I eat. No belly issues, no gas issues. I'm going to make a BBQ dry rub too...yummy! *sidebar: this has my favorite Sumac....would be great for a fresh veg & bread dip! *mixed with mayo & dipped sliced apples, yummy!

YUM!
After traveling to Israel I have been looking for a blend of Za'atar. This spice company (Spice Way) was recommended to me and they did not disappoint! The Za'atar came in an easy open (with zip-lock seal) foil pouch. It is very fresh and fragrant with no additives or preservatives. I don't think it will need a preservative as I like the flavor so much it will be used up quickly. I did transfer this blend into a shaker jar for ease of use. I believe this packet held 4 oz. and cost around $9 making it a great value. It is pretty versatile. I use it in salads, on eggs, in Mediterranean dishes. I even sprinkle it on my buttered toast in the morning. Very flavorful, very Yummy!
