Amazing Body Pillow!!!
You don't have to be pregnant to love this pillow (however, I wish I had one when I was pregnant). I bought this pillow because I have back and neck problems and I often wake up feeling stiff, uncomfortable, and have a lot of pain in the mornings. I also have nerve damage from multiple upper body injuries and I often have a very hard time getting to sleep/finding a comfortable position due to tingling and numbness in my hands and arms. My husband suggested a body pillow to help relieve pressure points and after a month of researching various products I finally decided on the Pharmedoc full sized body pillow. I purchased the Jumbo Gray U-Shape pillow (not detachable) and it arrived yesterday. I opened the vacuum packed pillow and allowed it to expand and rest for several hours before trying it out. I slept on it last night and got one of the best nights sleep I've had in a very long time. I got comfortable quickly, fell asleep quickly, slept all the way through the night without tossing and turning, and I woke this morning without any soreness, stiffness or pain. Absolutely amazing!! Obviously I haven't used this product much yet, but here is my pro/con list so far. Mostly pros. The cons are honestly more preferences rather than true problems with the product. Pros: -Size is perfect for me (I am 5' tall and weigh 132 lbs) and seems to be versatile as my husband and daughter have both laid on it and like the size as well. -Soft, comfortable fabric, not too hot either. -Washable cover. -Versatile positioning - I am a side sleeper, but also spent some time lounging on my back on this pillow before bed and I was so comfortable I almost fell asleep while on my back. It can also be positioned so that you can sit with it wrapped around you, kind of like a bean bag chair. You need something like a wall or couch arm behind you to prop up on, but very, very comfortable for sitting/lounging in bed (which I am very fond of doing in the evening). -Stuffing can be accessed by removing the cover and unzipping the internal pillow which would allow the stuffing to be changed, added to, or reduced. Cons: -I think I might have liked the detachable pillow a little more because it has a built in space for your arm when sleeping on your side and you have a little more control over the size of the detachable pillow. -My husband and I share a queen size bed and the jumbo sized pillow does crowd his side of the bed a little bit (however, this is no fault of the manufacturer, I knew the measurements when I bought it). -I am not sure how well the stuffing will hold up in the long run, it feels like it may breakdown over time. I may consider replacing the stuffing with shredded memory foam at some point in the future.

Great supportive pillow for fibromyalgia patients!
I am 66 years old and def not pregnant! I do suffer from fibromyalgia and me/cfs since 2021. I have tried various pillows to assist with my deplorable and painful sleep. Prior to purchasing this body pillow, I was sleeping with 2 queen sized regular pillows and 2 squishmallow pillows. I was not expecting much from this body pillow to be honest. When I opened the box and saw how the pillow was packaged, I thought “Oh no! This is a waste of a purchase”. But I opened everything up out of the vacuum sealed bag and let it sit out and expand for a few hours. Then I massaged the parts of the pillow that looked lumpy, and waited a couple hours more. Slept with this body pillow by itself last night first time. It was the best nights sleep I’ve had in a really long time. The pillow cover was nice and soft and didn’t get too hot against my face. It also supported all my body in just the right places. With fibromyalgia, I have pressure point pains and this pillow was supportive without causing pain in my neck, shoulders, arms, hips and legs. I am awestruck with the quality and performance of this pillow. I am 5’7” and weigh 195 and it is the perfect size for me. I slept both on my side as well as my back last night and I was quite cozy and comfortable all night long. Other reviewers mentioned that their pillows were understuffed, but after allowing the pillow to expand and massaging the lumps out of the filling, I felt the amount of stuffing was perfect. Very happy with this purchase!

Need if you are pregnant
I LOVED having this pillow during pregnancy! Helped me get much better sleep. I was able to get comfortable. Getting it out of the package was so easy and it is easy to wash. The size was perfect for me. And the color match my gray sheets perfectly. Very durable and perfect for a better night sleep with a big belly.

Great, except it gets a little hot
Just want to say upfront, I'm not pregnant but I have had trouble sleeping for years with back issues even after several surgeries. I constantly change positions because I end up in pain after a couple of hours in the same position. So, I was a bit skeptical when I unpacked the pillow. After letting it expand and washing the cover (and then wrestling the pillow back into the cover! Lol) and finally getting it into place on my bed - I finally got to snuggle into it and see what it felt like. It's so comfortable!! I can't even explain how comfy and snuggable it is!! And when you wrap the arm around you and Snuggle right in the middle, it's seriously like being hugged! I hardly moved all night, which is extremely rare for me! I did wake up because I was too hot. I am only using a light blanket, so the pillow must be holding my heat in while I'm snuggled between the "arms". Need to give it some more time to figure out how to stop from getting overheated while sleeping. This pillow is also great for sitting up in bed. I do need to add a regular pillow on top of the body pillow, just in the neck area to keep my head & neck supported properly while sitting up. It is so much more comfortable sitting up this way than with 3 or 4 regular pillows behind me like I used to do before getting this body pillow. The pillows used to move and get squished out of shape and I would have to keep readjusting everything all the time. Now I just add the pillow when I want to be sitting upright for a while and remove it when I want to lie down and sleep. I haven't slept this good in years! I look forward to bedtime and snuggling into my new pillow! Will update after I've used it for a longer period of time and if anything changes. Update: it's been a few more days and I'm still sleeping great with it. One drawback, as I sleep with just this pillow now, I have drooled on it in my sleep (sorry, but it happens!) so I'm trying to find out if I can buy an extra case for it so I can swap them when I need to wash it. I sleep with the arm that curves around on the inside of the bed and the short arm along the outside , the short arm keeps falling off the bed, and I have to keep pulling it back up. I really like it for the times I sit up in bed and crochet or do some stitching, I can pull the longer arm onto my lap and it acts like a table for me to rest my work on. I still get very warm when I sleep, but I just crank up my fan and kick the blanket off until I cool off.

Wish I had this pillow even before I got pregnant
My husband and I share an account so I'm writing this from the point of view of a currently 15-week pregnant woman, and I would honestly get this pillow even if I weren't pregnant due to the comfort and coziness that it provides. HIGHLY RECOMMEND GETTING THE JUMBO PILLOW, I ordered the jumbo and the regular sage to compare the difference in size and the jumbo arrived first so I opened it and it wasn't as big as I expected 'jumbo' to be, it is a perfect size and I feel the regular would be smaller, especially after a few nights of using the jumbo. I'm not even going to open the regular, just return it once it arrives. Pros - 1. it provides support laying down and sitting up, 2. it fluffs up right after taking it out of the package, 3. it allows you to flip it upside down so you can use your own pillow for better head/neck support, 4. it's all connected so it's not like it'll fall off the bed mid sleep 5. the cover is easy to take off and wash 6. it's easy to open the cover and move around the stuffing to customize it to what you want (especially around the head/neck area) 7. I hadn't even used the pillow for the night but was so comfortable right off the bat that I wanted to write a review without even sleeping with it first, but I figured I would wait to truly get the full experience 8. when i flip side to side at night it's so nice to have a pillow there for my knees and ankles Cons - 1. as a pregnant woman, I have to get up and use the restroom often in the middle of the night, so having to move all the comforters off and then back over me is annoying (but I'm mostly just irked because I'm having to get out of bed and use the bathroom 2-3x) 2. i wish the neck/head was a tad more supportive, but again it's nice to flip around and use my own pillow if needed OVERALL - I highly recommend for anyone who wants a comfy night's sleep, that goes for men, women, pregnant, not pregnant, kids, even animals. it truly is one of the most comfortable things I have and one of the best purchases I made this year.

Just okay
This pillow is just okay for me. I bought at the recommendation of a friend. Positives: - it helps me sleep on my side (I’m in my third trimester) -I am more comfortable than before I started using the pillow -neck support is good Negatives: - I’m still not very comfortable and wake up with leg and hip pain, and constantly slip from one side to the other during the night -lacking belly support for 3rd trimester belly. I ended up buying wedge pillow to use under my belly with this pillow -fabric - I chose the cream color and it reads more yellow than the photos and the fabric is pilling after a month of use -size - I’m 5’4” and it sometimes feels too short for me. I wish there was more leg support. The only way to support between my knees is to sleep very curled up, but then my legs start cramping. There is no stretch/give on the seams which makes it a little uncomfortable trying to change positions or get up during the middle of the night. Ultimately, the pillow is just okay for me, and I wish I went for a different option.

Wish I’d ordered this sooner!
I’ve been eyeballing these types of pillows for a long time but was always discouraged by the steep prices. Not pregnant, but have always had to sleep with multiple pillows around me to support my back and legs otherwise I toss and turn all night long. Ever since Covid began, my sleep has been worse than ever and I’ve been trying to find new ways to just try and get better sleep, so I decided to finally bite the bullet and order one of these pillows. After doing a bunch of research and going through the ratings/reviews, I decided to go with this pillow and now I only wish I’d ordered it sooner! I was originally skeptical about the zipper feature where you can remove one side of the pillow but it’s actually a pretty awesome idea- gives me space for my arm when sleeping on my side, without restricting my circulation. The pillow was vacuum sealed in a bag for shipping, initially causing it to be a bit flat when i pulled it out so i laid it out on my bed and manually separated/fluffed the stuffing inside and it became huge! Didn’t need to wait 48hours like the company recommends. It’s nice and firm which I love because I feel that it provides more support that way. It also makes sleeping on my back more bearable because the two sides provide adequate support. The cover that it came with is like a jersey material and was nice and soft after I ran it through a wash cycle. The case was also extremely easy to remove and re-apply. This pillow has also been so convenient for when I’m doing my online classes in bed- I fold one side over my lap and place my laptop on it. The only downside I’ve encountered so far is that there was a tear on the seam of the pillow when it arrived. I didn’t think it would be too big of an issue because the pillowcase is very fitting so I assume that may help to prevent the stuffing from falling out, only time will tell. It is quite a large pillow but I have a king sized bed so it doesn’t take up the whole bed. Overall, if you’ve been looking to buy one of these pillows- you won’t regret this one!!!

Updating w/ 2nd pregnancy - Sleeping better with it than without it
Update 7/2023: At 34 weeks in my 2nd pregnancy, I can say I did use this pillow again ~2 years later; however I’ve only been using it in it’s L-shape (smaller pillow removed) so that it doesn’t take up as much space on our queen mattress. I’ve found that I didn’t like the U-shape personally and that I’ve preferred having it “upside down” compared to I guess how people may typically use these? There’s a small hole now near the end of the zipper, but it’s not interfering with anything yet. I would say that it could be thicker for better leg support, but if you happen to read my old review below, I didn’t let it “breathe” long enough so that it may have never reached its full potential because of that. Hope this helps. Tl;dr: from my personal experience, I wouldn't give it a full 5 stars, but it certainly merits your consideration if you're looking for a pregnancy pillow that can alleviate some of your sleep troubles, or perhaps all if you weren't already an insomniac with severe back pain prior to pregnancy. My favorite feature is the detachable "leg" as I can manipulate the pillow more without feeling like I'm creasing the stuffing. I really can no longer sleep without it. I've had this pillow now for quite a few weeks during my pregnancy and at first I was definitely skeptical of whether or not it was making any difference for my back pain and overall ability to sleep. It certainly is more practical than trying to position a whole bunch of pillows around you. I wouldn't say that it gives me perfect sleep (especially while pregnant), but recently I had a night where I slept without it and boy oh boy did I sleep so poorly. I think I realized from that sleepless night just what an improvement the pillow has been, although in all fairness we just replaced our mattress and that has definitely made a more noticeable difference in my ability to sleep more "comfortably". It does take up some space in the bed, but I've found even my husband cuddling it (although he claims he'd still rather cuddle me). Also, at first the flat bit seems really weird, but that's been my favorite feature as I've found that I've been able to lie most comfortably facing that to allow my arm/shoulder to not be put under weird or painful pressure. Speaking of "flat", I recall some reviews that I had seen when I was shopping that complained the pillow was too flat. You have to allow the pillow ample time to decompress before using it and that's likely something that people didn't follow. I thought I gave it enough time only to see the next day that the paper insert said something like 24 hours versus the 8 hours I let it breathe. Even though I didn't do the recommended time, I think the pillow was fluffed enough technically. My only concern about the pillow in the future is whether or not the little zippers for the cover will hold over time, it hasn't been an issue yet, but I've been particularly gentle as I can see how one could easily rough them up too much when removing or stuffing the pillow back in for washing.
