I expected this cabinet to be the same cardboard type material we are all used to with inexpensive assemble yourself furniture so I expected this to be no different. It’s still cheap assemble yourself furniture but the quality is definitely better than average. It took a lifetime to assemble and almost had a meltdown when I was just about done and thought I was short an important part, but I think I was just tired and hangry by that point because I found the part. Cabinet looks great. I ordered another one. Helpful tip: the track shows as two separate parts in the manual but it comes as one part. You need to extend the track all the way, look at the side for a red arrow, push the tiny lever in the direction of the arrow and pull all the way out.

It was a bit tricky to get the track on the drawers to snap back in correctly after the the rest was assembled, but it fits perfectly under my long, L shaped black desk. (Maybe I'm too old to be ordering anything to be assembled!) It looks beautiful and I am very happy with it. It was packed extremely well and in perfect condition when I unpacked it too.

I can't really speak to assembly as my daughter put it together while I was building my desk in my classroom. Needless to say, I put together the desk and 2 sets of shelves while they did the cabinet... granted had to redo the wheels as the 5th was put in the wrong spot initially.Pros: great size, locks to keep files secure, mostly does what I need it to.Cons: drawer sides are actually full height instead of the "half-height" pictured with the metal rod for the hanging files. Why this is an issue... the sliders that go on top of the sides make the hanging file folders, and any tabbed files you put in them too tall... they get caught on the locking mechanism as you open and close the drawers (both drawers). Just puts a lot of wear and tear on the tabs of those files and makes them look less than pretty. So, it's functional, just not the best, most professional looking for the files inside. I came back to see if the drawer space was wide enough to allow for a 3 ring binder for each student file... (since it's summer and I really don't want to go up to school to see). If so, I may replace my hanging files with a binder for each student.

File cabinet looked same in person as in photo . Looks and works great. Was missing a hanging rod and company was quick to take care of problem. Would buy again.

I love the look of this filing cabinet and the fact that it matches all of my other walnut furniture. However, the item took me nearly 3 hours to assemble and I assemble furniture constantly. The instructions are horribly written and the pictures included do not accurately reflect how the item looks during assembly. Additionally, one of the wheels broke within the first day. The wheels were in the unlocked position and I was rolling the item while it was empty across hardwood floors, so I was very disappointed. I likely would not purchase this item again.

The machining for this product was absolute garbage. The screws didn’t align properly so the drawers don’t pull right. The screws for the locks destroyed the woodwork and thus the locks don’t work either. All in all, wish I hadn’t wasted money on this heap of crap!

There is plenty of room in this file cabinet for all our must keep papers plus other things like bill receipts etc.The finish is nice. Would recommend for your home office.

My old file cabinets were fallen apart, so I purchased this one and I am very happy with it. My neighbor helped put it together and he said it was fairly easy and it sturdy. It comes with 2 keys to lock the drawers, it has wheels so it is easy to move and it fits nicely in my small home office. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a small file cabinet.
