they are certainly good enough to last an entire rainy-season or two
PROS: lasts longer, no streaking except near end of life, locking mechanism high quality.CONS: a bit pricey, can be a bit more complicated to installI’ve tried all the major brands and all quality versions, and the BOSCH suspension-less design seems to last the longest and gives streak-free results — especially if you use RainX windshield wiper fluid. While these are not their top tier, they are certainly good enough to last an entire rainy-season or two. Of course you should replace your windshield wipers when they start streaking badly and don’t improve visibility, but I’d expect all wipers to last more than 3–6 months. These Bosch usually last a year or more with streaking only popping up near the end of a few excessively wet seasons. If I could park my car inside, I have no doubt they’d last longer, but only having to worry about replacing these about once a year or less, makes the slightly higher price worth it. I’ve had more expensive blades start streaking within months. Also, never trust those oil change places to put on anything near the quality of these—I made that mistake once and drove out with blades that were worse than these even though these Bosch blades were a year old, and supposedly the oil change place put on new blades.Installing them takes seconds if you’re familiar with their design, and you don’t have to alter them too much. They fit on any type of wiper assembly, so if you’re unsure whether you have to remove pieces or not, just check the little paper guide that comes with them. After a few swaps, you won’t need it. I had forgotten how to install these after trying other wiper blades, even though it was as simple as squeezing the locking mechanism. The mechanism for J-hook style at least is very solid and once it clicks you know it’s seated firmly in place.Bottom Line:Probably the best Price:performance ratio around thanks to good design, and would definitely recommend trying these out.

Like quality tires, it's worth paying a little extra.
Wiper blades might be the most neglected item of regular car maintenance. Their failure is usually realized when you need them the most and they're streaking and blurring your vision in a downpour or snow storm. Without sounding dramatic, if your view of the road isn't visible your chances of an accident are dramatically increased. So like quality tires, I'm willing to pay extra for quality, functionality and durability. These Icons are designed to have a minimal appearance but to apply even downward pressure throughout their length without gaps or skips even after many months of use. I live in a state that has constant sun almost every day throughout the year, but in the summer sitting in the hot sun outside, the entire car, including the wipers can bake in 100 degree heat while absorbing UVF rays that attack their integrity and tries to harden the blades. Whatever the rubber compound is in Icons is, they stay flexible and pliable longer. These are the only wipers I use on my car with the exception of PIAA's made of silicon, but the size I need are often unavailable. Bosch is a name recognized for high standards of quality and I also own many of their power tools which share that consistent high standard. So I trust their products and can wholeheartedly recommend their wipers which I buy on Amazon for their consistently superior price and not needing to trek out to the auto supply store. Installation of the Icons is also extremely easy, though admittedly, the very first pair was somewhat baffling, though the instructions are clear. The hub on the back center first needs to be lifted up on it's hinge. One end of that hub has tiny flanges on each side. You pinch those sides together with your thumb and forefinger and lift up to reveal the part that clips into the "hook" end of your wiper arm. It fits in with a click, and then you fold down that hinged cover you lifted up with a snap. Total time, about two minutes for each side, at least after you get the hang of it with your first installation. Arguably the best wipers you can buy.

Very easy to install. Does a good job of not letting snow and ice collect on frame,
The media could not be loaded. I started using this newer style of wiper blade that does not have the conventional metal frame about a year and a half ago. I purchased the AutoTex "PINK" - Black Bracketless Premium Wiper Blade - 20", Pack of 1 in August 2010 and they have lasted up until now. They actually still work quite well but I wanted to try these new Bosch Icon wipers and so it was time to remove the old ones. The Bosch Icon wipers are very similar to the AutoTex Pink. Both are of the frameless design whereby there is no conventional plastic or metal housing holding the blade. The blade is frameless which makes it superior in ice and show since there isn't much for ice and snow to get clogged in or on.Installing the wiper blade was quite easy as my video demonstrates.Choosing the right blade is probably the hardest part of the entire process and that's not saying much because that process was a piece of cake. All you have to do is select the Year, Make and Model of your car and the suggested blades for your car are displayed for you right on the Amazon product page. You do pay a premium price for these blades, but that is because they are of high quality and offer great performance. These typically will last a lot longer than conventional blades will. My previous AutoTex Pink blades worked well for a hear and a half and actually still work pertty well, but I just decided to take them off and buy these new Bosch Icon blades.

Leaves large wide streaks UNSAFE
I bought 20 A & 20 B for the passenger side. When the brand new 20 A wiper blade left wide unsafe streaks on the window , I thought I would switch the 2 blades and put 20 B on the driver side. I started evaluating the kind of job the passenger wiper blade was doing. It was worse than the driver side and if possible, EVEN more unsafe than 20 A ( driver side wiper ). These blades are no safe and should be banded from the market. Only pro; because they are brand new rubber they have no noise or skipping as they go back and forth. Almost $ 100 for no noise and blind going down the road
