This is a good little knife
After seeing these Opinel brand knives for years, and not really paying much attention to them, I decided to get one and give it a shot as an everyday carry knife. The detail that pushed me into the purchase was the laser etched/engraved wild boar scene on the handle...we are Clan Bacon!First thing I noticed was how light this was. Like, really light! I don't know it's in my pocket most of the time.The locking mechanism is pretty simple, but it's ingenious. Very easy to use, and very dependable.The blade is sharp, although it had a little bit of rolling straight out of the package. Nothing that a quick pass on a a sharpening steel couldn't take care of. I've had no issues with the blade being sharp, and keeping an edge, but I haven't given it a real workout yet. Give me a few months and I'll post an update.I will say that after carrying a couple different folding knives with pocket clips, and thumb studs for quick opening, that fishing it out of my pocket and using 2 hands to open and lock this one took a little getting used to. I wouldn't call either of these things negatives, just differences from other types of folders.The No.8 size seems to be a perfect size to me. But I wouldn't hesitate to get a couple others to try them out for different uses.Overall, I'm a fan of this brand and this design. I'd recommend you all get one.

The knife it's very good, have a nice razor edge and works very well, the only problem has it the seller because hedon't take care of the packaging of the product, Fortunately the knife works well

Love it
My EDC. Love it, the handle is light so you can barely feel it in your pocket. Very sharp out of box. Will order more in the future.

I love my new toy

La gravure ne correspond pas au modèle attendu, pas de massif montagneux seul 3 Chamois gravés avec une finition discutable.Pour le reste qualité Opinel au rdv, dommage...

Vorsicht man erhält nicht das abgebildete Motiv. Auf dem Messer ist zwar eine Gams zu sehen aber nicht das abgebildete Bergmotiv. Sonnst bewährte und gute Opinel Qualität.

Comme toujours pour la marque, un produit de qualité et intemporel. Joli design qui a beaucoup plu à la personne l'ayant reçu. Je ne mets cependant que quatre étoiles à cause de "l'étui" en plastique fermé a l'aide d'un scotch... dommage pour offrir
