I needed to add security camera at a specific location in my house, I had an existing security camera at that spot but need to add second one to achieve good coverage. Unfortunately I don't have any unused/spare Cat5 cable going to that location, but using this network+POE splitter I was able to connect two POE security cameras to a single cable. The splitter acts as a network switch, also it provides POE power to 2 downstream devices using upstream POE source. Since upstream POE source can be POE+ (802.3at), power budget is 30 watt, providing 12-13 watt per downstream POE device - more than enough for most security cameras. The splitter is compact, I was able to hide it inside the junction box, making it clean installation.

Used it to split AA single POE line into two. Works like it should.

great power extender

Absolute trash, if I could leave 0 stars I would. I ordered 2, one was dead out of the box, the other died within 3 days. Got a replacement for the DOA one, and it started smoking as soon as it was plugged in. I have the correct poe injector, proper voltage, and good cables, these are just trash

Truth be told, having tried a more expensive option that had intermittent signal loss, I was skeptical when I purchased this PoE extender as a replacement for exterior cams. Wow.. Not only has this PoE extender been a solid connection, but it does what most do not, it brings the power. Prior versions (different manufacturers just didnt have quite the juice to run the cams and still allow the NVR's to consistently stream high res data packets, plus two way talk, etc etc etc. The cam is 250' from the PoE switch (which didnt have enough juice on this homerun to pull a signal), but with this beast of an injector I am running on all cylinders. Just ordered 2 more. Highly recommend.

Works fine, speed, waterproof, good value

I have a ten camera reolink system. It worked perfectly for half a year or so before the camera farthest away started randomly dropping. Another year later the second farthest camera started randomly DROPPING. A reddit comment made me realize that over time the power supplies of these NVR start failing over time and recommended this device which I didn't even know existed. I have no Idea of the science of these. It's not powered separately so all the power is still coming from the nvr, yet using it and plugging in two cameras restored interruption free service. Time will tell if this is a reliable device but for now I am very pleased.
