This innovative and easy-to-use guide presents easy-to-follow, illustrated flow charts to accurately diagnose the problem. It also includers 100% organic solutions and photographs and drawings of stressed, damaged, and diseased plants to help with accurate comparison. Review: Nice helpful book! - Great Book for gardens to have! Review: A Treasure of Information, Haven't Seen Anything Comparable - I decided to get serious about gardening this year, and found it to be more difficult than expected. The first obsticle for the new gardener is selecting the best varieties of plants or seeds to plant. Online nurseries and box stores will try to sell you varieties that are not acceptable for your area. Second hurdle is getting a proper soil analysis especially if you have calcareous soil that can be determined by taking a soil sample, drying it in the oven for about 2 hours @ 175 degrees, then pouring some white vinegar on the dried soil. If it fizzs, you have calcareous soil and need some special testing called an AA extraction @ a higher pH to get usable numbers. Third, potential problems are with diseases and insects that can ruin your plants. That is where this book excels. It may seem to lead you on a "wild goose chase" sometimes, but eventually I came to answers that have been confirmed as correct by other sources each time. I wish it was an easier process, but this book shows how there are many variables involved in getting to the bottom of plant problems, and few "master gardeners" are willing or able to provide this level of advice. If they ever find a way to reduce the number of pages you have to skip around to in reaching the solution, it would be perfect. The only way I can see this happening is with a computer program version of the book. Until that is available, this is a fantastic accomplishment in providing great advice to any gardener willing to learn. The authors deserve publishing award for creating a masterpiece of helpful and useful information.

How's this for a review: BUY THIS BOOK!
I just received my copy of "What's Wrong with my Plant?" this week, and I cannot tell you how many times I've wished for a resource like this! It's, at once, straight-forward, but detailed and complete. And, I don't have to know the Latin name for my plants or trees (or vegetables, for that matter). There is a caution -- it is 451 pages long, BUT the good news is that you don't really have to read it all for it to work. The authors combine drawings, photos, and prose with a no-fault process that anyone can use...homeowners, landscapers, lawn maintenance crews, everyone! Nurseries oughta hide one in the back room, so they can return to a questioning customer with brilliant, accurate advice. WalMart and the big box stores, ought to stock the book, too! I got the hardback verson and I'm glad I did because this is a lifetime resource. And, I'm also giving a few copies away as Christmas presents, knowing full-well that they'll be actually be used by the recipients for a long time hence.

BEST BOOK EVER on Diagnosing Plant Issues
BEST BOOK EVER! If you want to figure out what is eating or killing your plants, fruit trees, or herbs, this is the bible of diagnosing issues. Unlike other books, it takes you through a diagnosis process that leads you to the solution. And, it has so many photographs of "what" diseased or infested plants look like, it gives you the confidence to use the right solution. I am an avid home gardener, and this book has already saved 2 plants that I had no idea how to fix.

A book for all seasons
This book is wonderful. The information is clear and concise, backed up and explained with clear pictures. You can't go wrong with it. Very user friendly and helpful. A lot of books seem to promise more than they can deliver--not this one. It delivers what it promises, and then some. Without a whole lot of jargon or verbiage, it shows you how to figure out exactly what is bothering your plant and then how to fix it. Brilliant! Highly recommended.

Good Reference
I bought this last year as I was having trouble with a few plants. I was hoping this would help me determine the issue. While it has lots of informaiton, and was laid out to provide a quick reference - I found the book a bit confusing. It didn't always seem to flow, and there was a lot of jumping around from page to page. I still felt in the end, I wasn't sure what the issue was. I wish there was a bit more detail on vegetables, and more pictures. Not a bad book, just wasn't as helpful as I had hoped when I read about it.

Excellent images for accurate diagnosis.
This has quickly become one of my favourite plant books. When I can get it that is. My wife got a hold of it and I rarely see it now. Lots of images to identify health issues and simple to follow remedies.

seltsames buch
Finde es unübersichtlich und nicht hilfreich. Weder kann man anhand der Zeichnungen wirklich identifizieren was das Problem ist, noch findet man die Lösung für das Problem irgendwo in dem Buch.
