Easier to use than the other reviews claim.
After I noticed some mortar starting to fall out between the bricks on a very old wall i started looking for options, the obvious option is to buy a mortar bag and mix it but then how do you get it deep in between the bricks I mean you can try and smooth it in but you would never get it all the way in. So went looking for options and found this product among others but settled on this one, now other reviews say it is hard to get out the tube but the ones i got it was super easy so not sure if they had an old or bad batch? it went in easy and after a few days has set hard ( at least as far as i can see ) so will see how it lasts. Now to the issue I observed with the product, after finishing the job there was a small amount left so I did two 1" lengths on a bit of paper and let it set, the first I submerged under water over night and the next day it looked solid but as i pressed it it fell to mush, the 2nd one I used a single drop of water to simulate rain and instantly it sucked up the drop of water and as i picked it up the part where the drop was had weak and a step away from mush. Next is price it seams cheap but as others have said there is not a lot in the tube and it really does not go far. So time will tell how long it will last but I would recommend that you ether use masonry paint or sealer on the repaired area to prevent water ingress.

Would recommend!
Love this product. Although a little tough to get out of the tube initially - I cut a bigger hole and was much easier. Easy to work with and dried quickly the results are amazing. I’ve bought a couple of extra tubes to do another project

Sand colour is white sand, doesn't go far. Cant extract last amount.
The "Sand" colour is white sand - actually perfect for lime mortar touch up. But if you are thinking yellow sand, like the packaging implies you will be disappointed. It doesn't go very far - really used up very quicky, so only for small jobs. It dries slower than they suggest, which means if you start working it, it spreads and mars the bricks. Its quite a sticky consistency. Even though I was using it all within a couple of hours, the last inch or more would not come out, so you are losing 10-15% left in the tube.

Good for small and quick repairs, but use a good gun and a spatula.
Great stuff, makes those little repairs less tedious and fix them for good. One case could be a hole for wall plug that's been done too large, stuff it with this compound and press the plug again, leave it for at least 36hrs and you have 100% strength. I've also used it to seal cable holes in masonry, the hole stuffed with silicone first, then having the last layer when this compound, a flexible spatula will give you a decent finish. One caveat: use it with a GOOD gun, the cheap ones won't push it out, I've used a 25:1 ratio gun and no problems. Also, don't expect it to stick on a wall as it comes out of the gun, you really need to use a spatula to push it and fill the surface that's going to. Ideally this product should come as a tub, but I suspect that it comes as a cartridge to avoid it drying out. I've used 1/3 in 6 months and still perfectly fine, so I guess the cartridge packaging works.

fischer Express Cement Premium Repair Mortar Sand ????
I deeply regret buying this product. It is advertised as a "sand" colour, but it actually dries to a noticeable light pink shade that clashes completely with standard mortar. The sand granules inside are far too large and coarse. Because the texture is not smooth at all, it completely fails to penetrate very thin cracks. It just sits on top, making it useless for fine repair work. To make matters worse, the cartridge does not come with a cap or tip to stop the flow once opened. It is a complete waste of money because you either have to use the entire tube at once or throw the remainder straight into the bin. Save your money and buy a better alternative.

Great product
Having read some negative reviews I was expecting to struggle to fill some mortar gaps on my 125 year old barn conversion. Totally delighted. I cut down the nozzle but really didn’t need to. The mortar came out easily & smoothly from a normal mastic gun. It was easy to work & I dressed it with some original brick dust & you can hardly tell the difference. Absolutely delighted & will definitely use again when required

SUPERB FOR FILLING SANDSTONE/IRONSTONE BLOCKS
PROS: 1) INEXPENSIVE 2) DRIES TO MATCH SANDSTONE/IRONSTONE COTTAGE BLOCKS 3) VISUALLY IMPERCEPTIBLE 4) SIMPLE TO APPLY CONS: 1) ADHESION COULD BE BETTER I bought this to fill in holes on a cottage we rented. The stone is typical of the area of the country with every cottage for a 60 mile radius using the same stone, whether centuries old or modern. This Fischer cement sand did the trick. In fact it was so good, my wife, who has a brilliant eye for detail and colour, had no idea where the filled in holes were. Even when pointed at the exact area, they were barely visible. The only problem is adhesion. It does require you to have two palette knives or a bit of card or something underneath whilst you fill the gap/hole. Once you’ve waited five minutes you can further shape/smooth the repair. I don’t normally recommend 4 star products, but this is an exception. BUY IT, IT’S DOTTORE APPROVED!!!

Das Produkt hält was es verspricht. Nur leider der Farbton beige passt selten.

Buone cartucce
