Cup of joe for your scalp!
I've been a fan of Complexe 5 for 20+ years. Whenever I wonder why my hair isn't looking or feeling lush, I realize I ran out and didn't repurchase.I DO think the product has been diluted recently. It tingles less. Still doing its job, so I'll live with that.

Best scalp oil EVER!
I absolutely love this scalp oil. I've used many scalp scrubs before, never thought an oil would help alleviate an oily and irritated scalp but this one is incredible. My scalp feels incredibly clean after the wash. It even clears out dandruff and dry scalp flaking. It also softens the hair strand and just makes my hair 10x better. 10 out of 10 is not enough for this one. Totally worth it!

Essential product for a nice scalp $$$$
This is my first purchase from Rene Furterer, which is obviously an upmarket hair care brand$$$$The product contains a concoction of essential oils that stimulate and deep cleanse the scalp to prepare a healthy bed for hair growth. You apply this on segments of your scalp PRE-shampoo weekly or once a week.It smells like citrus and sweet orange essential oil. It does NOT leave an oily residue and washes off pretty easily. You will feel that your scalp is cleaner after shampooing it out. The scent of the essential actually lingers on LONG AFTER you wash it off- which is a bonus for me but not everyone likes the strong essential oil smell. If you are sensitive to smells you might not like this ?? I would use it STILL because It makes my hair feel and look healthy. There are only two cons here - the price and availability These are however sacrifices I am willing to make for the way this makes my scalp feel clean and refreshed.I think this product is excellent for detoxing my scalp. The philosophy behind it is that without clean hair follicles, your hair strands won't grow as strong; think of it as exfoliation for your scalp, which actually makes total sense! I've seen this marketed online in very scientific terms and using a lot of adjectives like "detoxing", "purifying", "nutrients", "hair loss", with no really clear explanation, when it could basically be marketed as a scalp exfoliator that can help with many different conditions. I think that "Buy me, I basically eat and dissolve all the gunk on your scalp!" doesn't sound as cool?It treats by exfoliating the scalp to get rid of buildup with the Complexe 5 and help promote healthy scalp/follicles, then you shampoo/condition your hair as usual.bonus tip: once you apply the Complexe 5 to the scalp, you can take advantage and use a hair mask of your choice from the mid to ends of your hair at the same time.Note: It spreads pretty easily once you get the hang of the bottle. Make sure to massage it into the scalp for at least 5-10 minutes to promote better circulation and don't worry too much about the tingly feeling. If it starts to burn, then WASH IT OFF, these are high concentrations of essential oils and your skin may be sensitive to them. This treats buildup that can form from natural oils, dead skin cells, dry scalp, dandruff, silicone and other ingredients. It's supposed to "strengthen" the scalp by putting the essential oils in the Complexe 5 to work at basically dissolving the buildup on your scalp.I think it works well in combination with all shampoos but mainly with sulfate-free shampoos since they lack harsher cleansing detergents. Which is why a lot of times I need to use a harsh clarifying shampoo once month. With this product I can use my sulfate free shampoo and not have to use the harsher shampoo.

I'm a hair donor... so I know waaaaay too much about growing HAIR!
Okay so I'm working on my 5th 'Locks of Love' donation. I have been doing this for 20 years... grow it out, lop it off, donate between 15 to 18 inches? My hair grows fast anyway and is super thick, but I like to do things internally and externally to help it grow faster, thicker, longer! I found this product when I was searching for things to assist a friend of mine who is working on her first Locks of Love donation; she has VERY baby-fine hair, and it grows very slowly... so she asked for my help. I told her I'd try this extract first, and let her know what I think of it. The FEEL of it is NOT oily at all, it smells very citrusy, and is not overwhelming. I use a LOT, myself, and I also leave it on closer to 30 minutes than the recommended 10 minutes. The bottle has a built-in applicator, a pointy little tube that you can just squirt directly onto your scalp, then rub in. Use it all over, and if you do have thinning hair, I'd say concentrate it on those spots and rub in gently with your fingerpads, NOT your fingerNAILS (nails break your hair shaft!). It tingles, it actually feels quite nice, not a burning or a cold feeling? Just a tingle. I'd say going one step further and putting a plastic cap on with a hot towel overtop of that, would help this product along even better. Using it twice a week as recommended sounds about right. Also when you go to shampoo it out - I'd recommend using a sulfate free shampoo (sulfates strip your hair of its natural oils, sulfates are EVIL things!), and a sulfate free conditioner with Argan Oil in it. Argan Oil is a gift from Heaven, and combining it with this awesome pre-treatment (and NO SULFATES in anything!) will guarantee thicker locks. I HAVE noticed, after only using this 3 times, that my hair seems to have more volume at the roots; which is a good thing, because the longer it gets, the heavier it gets (super thick, very curly), and it weighs it down around my face and seems to 'droop'. No drooping thus far, and I've only got 3 more years to go before my next donation. Re: the price of this product - yeah it's a tad pricey, but you get a darn good amount! And even with applying as much as possible twice a week, methinks this will last at least 4 to 6 months? I say SPEND THE MONEY on your hair if you want it to look as glorious as possible. Never mess around when it comes to your hair and face care; buy the good stuff, you'll be rewarded with healthy, shining thick locks, and beautiful skin (I tell everyone this... very important!)... Peace!
