OxiClean Max Force Gel Stick, 6.2 Ounce (Pack of 2)

Completely non effective in removing stains.

As a years-long user of Shout Ultra Gel and OxiClean powder, I decided to try the OxiClean Gel Stick. OGS is much tougher on stains than SUG, and it’s ideal on whites in particular. The yellow stains on my white slipcovers and my white tees and white linens are gone. When I applied it on deep-set turmeric stains on a pink cotton tee before machine washing it, the spots came out a lighter pink than the rest of the shirt, as if they had been bleached - it’s that powerful! Another pro is that the bottom push-up mechanism ensures that all the gel is used up, and the window shows what remains. Unlike SUG, no need to shake or turn it upside down to get all the product out. The scent is so strong that lingers even after 3 consecutive machine wash cycles using hot water (I found this out from washing my slipcovers), but it’s not offensive. The only real con is that you can’t control how much product is dispensed, since it comes out in fixed amounts when pushed down on fabric. So the stick empties out far sooner than the product in the SUG squeeze packaging, thereby making the OGS more wasteful and pricier. That said, will be repurchasing.

Good product.

I like to think there is no stain that I can't remove. So far, with this product, that is the case. Of course, I make sure to occasionally rub the product into the fabric. That seems to help on tough stains.
