Sure, I'll write a review. I plugged it in and it works, first time! Just like it's always been a part of the computer. Nothing to install, no need for additional power outlet, runs off USB. No software included, but for what? Essentially what you have here is your typical laptop-style drive, meaning, you snap the CD\DvD to the spindle and push the drawer in. Watched a DvD movie on it last night, even paused it a couple times, no problems. Update: Okay I had some problems develop a few weeks after use: 1) wouldn't read disc. 2) ejected disc, ejected disc so much I couldn't keep it closed, ejected on boot up, ejected in middle of a movie! 3) started vibrating like it was exceeding its RPM. Then, I turned it over, removed three screws and re-seated the drive in the connector, and closed it back up, and so far it's been quiet and playing nicely. Okay, Love It!! This drive and VLC makes for a great DvD movie player!

Simply an excellent CD/DVD drive. I am using it on an iMac and it booted up and works perfectly. Great value!!!

This external CD/DVD drive works exactly as expected. Plugged it in, and it was basically ready to go, with no complicated setup. It reads and burns discs pretty quickly and hasn’t given me any issues so far. It’s also nice and portable, so easy to carry around if needed. Good option if your laptop no longer has a disc drive. Definitely worth it.

Decent product. My only issue was it would not read some of my DVDs. I ended up returning it. But if you are looking for a product at a good price it will do what is expected.

I needed a new CD drive to read some older CA’s I have. The DVD drive I had would not read the CD’s. This new drive reads both CD’s and DVD’s and works great.

This upset hell out of me. My PC wouldn't read disc. I have another PC it worked fine. My PC is almost exactly like my other unit. Nuc 100 and nuc 97 works fine .. scratching my head I consulted ai on Google why PC would attempt read disc icon on PC would vanish... Turns out big is on the USB ports. Some our low voltage. This unit has port hook up typical power supply phones uses, fire stick, etc. Dang it booted dvd perfectly! 🤔😁 Got extra ports etc...if you use those ports better have extra power plugged into this unit no matter if your PC works fine. Don't plug this into a hub but straight off a USB port on PC. My two units are gmk tec mini PC's.

Go know that my great, mid priced Dell laptop did not come with a DVD, which I rarely would be using anyway. I discovered that when I needed to read a friend's spinal MRI which came on a disc. This is a very inexpensive, very useful, light device that you plug in to a USB slot and voila! Read the medical records and the pictures in seconds. If you need one, I highly recommend this guy.

This thing is cheap and you can tell. Literally right out of the box, it takes on average about 30 seconds for it to read a disc if it reads it at all. About half the time it just shuts off or spits out the disc without reading it. Sometimes it will stop reading the disc right in the middle of playing it. And that's just with CDs. I honestly couldn't tell you how it reads DVDs or games because it never has. It just makes some weird noises for a second and shuts itself off. It can't even register a blank disc when I try to burn something. It only gets two stars because rarely, on occasion, it will read and play a CD without giving me problems, but that's a low bar to clear. I bought it because I needed something that was cheap and that worked, but I regret buying this. If I could do it again, I would've shelled out more money for something higher quality.

Simple plug and play device. Zero issues.
