I did not order these Wooden Boxes for Vinyl Records but rather storage boxes for storing my Home Office Supplies (i.e., Binders, Assorted Writing Pads, Ink Cartridges, etc.). I did not want just ordinary storage boxes and these Boxes offered the style I was looking for. The Wood is beautiful, and they are quite roomy. However, I did replace the small Metal Label Holders that were included with something more substantial since the Boxes sit on a top shelf, so I ordered these Large Metal Tag Label Holders by MYS (5"x2-3/4") and they were perfect. They also added a touch of style.

Nice quality box for storing vinyl records.

The product is great and does what it says but I think the base could be a bit thicker given the weight it has to hold. Also it comes with a warning in the instructions 'to not seal the item in plastic' and this is due to the stain they've used on the timber. There is a slight odour (similar to a paint smell) when first assembled and I'd like to know if the stain they use on the wood is water based only because if it isn't and they are using an oil based chemical then this will harm the vinyl, the cardboard sleeves and the plastic sleeves over time.

I choose this crate because it has a complete flat bottom, no worries on it damaging the bottom of my vintage albums. I read some reviews that stated albums wouldn't fit in it long ways but that's not true with mine, albums fit with room on each side. It is a sturdy crate, and if you wood glue all of the edges on assembly it's extremely sturdy!

Staying together so far but wood is thin.
